2025 Fantasy Outlook
After starting the 2024 campaign as more of an ancillary option in the backfield, failing to record a touch through the first two games, Washington finally got his hands on the rock in Week 3 and made his impact felt, amassing 12 carries for 106 yards and a score while adding a grab for 23 yards as a receiver. His work really picked up in the second half of the season, averaging 21.2 carries for 136.3 rushing yards and two catches for another 20 yards as a receiver while totaling 11 rushing scores and a receiving touchdown over the final six regular-season games. While Dawson Pendergrass is back, Richard Reese and Dominic Richardson are both out of the picture, paving the way for Washington to serve as a true workhorse in 2025. With Sawyer Robertson at the helm, look for the Bears' offense to be explosive this season, and Washington has the tools to return a top-tier fantasy campaign at the running back position. Shines in double OT win
Washington logged 31 rushes for 115 yards and two touchdowns and hauled in 3 of 4 targets for 11 yards during Saturday's 48-45 overtime win over Southern Methodist.
ANALYSIS
In a game where the Bears passed the ball 50 times, the team still managed to give Washington a career-high 31 carries. He did well with that massive workload, gaining over 100 yards and scoring twice, including a touchdown in the first overtime. The elite play of quarterback Sawyer Robertson so far is not necessarily great for Washington's ceiling especially since he is not a high-volume pass catcher, but the Bears have still made it a priority to give Washington the ball and that will continue once conference play begins.
