Each week I share my favorite college player props as part of our DFS College Football series.

We find our edge with RotoWire's Picks & Props tool. Multiple prediction factors help decide if we should lean "higher" or "lower" on all of the player props available across multiple DFS sites and sportsbooks. I use the tool as a starting point to highlight props that I might otherwise miss and to narrow down my options before doing a deeper dive into matchups and trends.

By going 4-0 on last week's picks, my season record is 19-12 (61.3%). Below are some of the best picks you can make on Underdog this week.

QB Gio Lopez, North Carolina

The last time that Gio Lopez threw for 200 yards was November 16, 2024 vs. UL-Lafayette. He has yet to hit 170 passing yards with North Carolina even with increased passing volume. (He completed just 19 of 35 pass attempts for 167 yards last week.)

In a matchup against Virginia, we can expect that UNC will be trailing again, so pass volume could be even higher. I'm not going to let that scare me away though. The Tar Heels are lacking playmakers, as leading receiver Jordan Shipp is averaging just 42 yards per game, and no other UNC pass catcher is averaging more than 20 yards per game.

The bonus value in a bet against Lopez is that he could find his way to the bench one way or another. He has already been banged up with back and leg injuries this season, plus he could be on a short leash with an experienced backup behind him. Max Johnson has already seen action in three of the six games this season.

CFB Underdog Pick: Gio Lopez, LOWER than 200.5 pass yards

QB CJ Bailey, NC State

Staying in the ACC, I'm down on another passer from the state of North Carolina. CJ Bailey has been a much more efficient passer than Lopez, completing 72.1% of his attempts, but he still only had over 250 passing yards in two of his past six games, including one against FCS Campbell. The Campbell Fighting Camels may have one of the best nicknames in all of college football, but they certainly do not have one of the best pass defenses.

Week 9 opponent Pittsburgh ranks a respectable 60th against the pass, allowing 216.7 pass yards per game, and that number is skewed by Louisville's Miller Moss, who finished with 339 yards on 51 attempts. No other QB has topped 250 yards against Pitt this season. Bailey is unlikely to finish with anywhere near as many attempts as Moss, as NC State would be smart to keep star running back Hollywood Smothers highly involved.

CFB Underdog Pick: CJ Bailey, LOWER than 258.5 pass yards

RB Evan Pryor, Cincinnati

Pryor is averaging an impressive 7.8 yards per carry this season and averaged 7.5 last season. But should any player who is splitting carries and has a mobile quarterback have a line set this high? I don't think so.

Pryor is averaging under eight carries per game and only reached double-digit carries twice in seven games. Backfield mate Tawee Walker is averaging 10 carries per game, while QB Brendan Sorsby is averaging nearly nine carries per game.

With such low volume, Pryor has only topped 63 yards in two of seven games this season. Baylor presents a favorable matchup, but ultimately, I'm comfortable betting against players to average over seven yards per carry against a power conference opponent.

CFB Underdog Pick: Evan Pryor LOWER than 73.5 rushing yards

WR Josh Cameron, Baylor

It was a slow start in Week 1, but Cameron has developed into the go-to wide receiver that we expected this season. In the past six games, Cameron is averaging 81.3 receiving yards per game and has topped 61.5 in four of those games.

Cincinnati presents the 96th ranked passing defense, making this a good matchup for Baylor's no. 1 ranked passing offense. With star running back Bryson Washington nursing an injury, I could see the Bears leaning even more into the passing offense.

CFB Underdog Pick: Josh Cameron HIGHER than 61.5 receiving yards
