2025 Receiving Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Wingo impressed as a true freshman in 2024, compiling 29 catches for 472 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 100 yards on five attempts. In three College Football Playoff games, Wingo caught five of his 13 targets for 78 yards. He's slated to be one of Arch Manning's top targets in Austin as part of a wide receiver room that lost its top two options in Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond from the 2024 crop of wideouts. Wingo missed the tail end of spring camp with a hamstring injury, but his absence was deemed precautionary and he should be a full-go for fall camp and the regular season. Talent still abounds in this room with DeAndre Moore back and the additions of Emmett Mosely from Stanford and tight end Jack Endries from Cal, but Wingo seems poised to claim the top spot on the wideout depth chart in 2025. The Longhorns have produced two wide receivers with at least 750 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons. Read Past Outlooks
Will be limited in practice
Wingo (thumb) is set to be limited in practice this week but isn't expected to miss time, per Anwar Richardson of Rivals.com.
ANALYSIS
While the star wideout isn't expected to miss any time, he also isn't expected to be close to 100 percent. Wingo banged up his thumb in the win over Vanderbilt, heading to the locker room in the first quarter and failing to return. Texas has a bye in Week 11, which certainly comes at a good time in terms of Wingo's availability. The receiver has 31 catches for 593 yards and five touchdowns this fall.
