Four teams are on bye during Week 14, but there are still plenty of appealing options for Sunday's FanDuel NFL DFS slate, so let's jump in.
The Games
A lot of the focus of NFL DFS picks is on individual players. Skills certainly matter, but finding game environments that are likely to promote a lot of points scored is a way to narrow the focus of our player pool.
| Over-Under | Road Team | Road Team Total | Home Team | Home Team Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 44.5 | Seahawks | 26.5 | Falcons | 18.5 |
| 42.5 | Steelers | 18.5 | Ravens | 23.5 |
| 33.5 | Titans | 14.5 | Browns | 19.5 |
| 46.5 | Colts | 23.5 | Jaguars | 23.5 |
| 42.5 | Commanders | 20.5 | Vikings | 21.5 |
| 40.5 | Dolphins | 21.5 | Jets | 19.5 |
| 41.5 | Saints | 16.5 | Buccaneers | 25.5 |
| 53 | Bengals | 23.5 | Bills | 29.5 |
| 40 | Broncos | 23.5 | Raiders | 15.5 |
| 44.5 | Bears | 19.5 | Packers | 25.5 |
| 47.5 | Rams | 28.5 | Cardinals | 19.5 |
There is just one game with a total below 40 points and three with at least 46; the favorites with the highest totals include the Bills, Rams and Seahawks.
Value Options
Chris Rodriguez Jr., WAS at MIN ($6,000): Jacory Croskey-Merritt appears to have lost his grip on the lead running back role for the Commanders. Over the last two games, he was given a total of just 13 rushing attempts, and he has not surpassed 38 rushing yards in a game since Week 6. The Commanders are giving more opportunities to Rodriguez, who has finished with at least 11 carries in three of his last four games, rushing for 201 yards and three TDs in that span. Expect him to remain in an expanded role during Week 14.
Michael Wilson, ARI vs. LAR ($5,700): Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) is trending in the wrong direction, failing to practice Wednesday or Thursday, and we've seen Wilson thrive without Harrison on the field already. When Harrison missed Weeks 11 and 12, Wilson combined for 25 receptions for 303 yards on 33 targets. Another 10+ targets could be coming his way in this matchup.
Other Value Options
QB Trevor Lawrence, JAC vs. IND ($7,100)
QB Tyler Shough, NO at TB ($6,600)
RB RJ Harvey, DEN at LV ($6,500)
RB Zach Charbonnet, SEA at ATL ($6,200)
RB Devin Neal, NO at TB ($5,900)
WR Christian Watson, GB vs. CHI ($6,200)
WR Alec Pierce, IND at JAC ($6,000)
WR Khalil Shakir, BUF vs. CIN ($5,900)
TE Zach Ertz, WAS at MIN ($5,200)
TE Darren Waller, MIA at NYJ ($5,100)
Stacks to Consider
Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals
Matthew Stafford ($8,000) threw for at least two touchdowns in each of his last six games, including three times with at least four. The Rams could put plenty of points on the board versus the Cardinals, who have given up the ninth-most points per game in the league.
Both Puka Nacua ($9,300) and Davante Adams ($8,600) make for great stacking options with Stafford. The tiebreaker between the two might be that Adams has recorded multiple touchdown receptions in four of his last six games. For the season, Adams has reached the end zone 14 times, and he comes in a bit cheaper.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
The Jets likely won't be a popular team to stack, as they average the eighth-fewest points per game. However, their offense has shown signs of life since they benched Justin Fields. Last week, they scored 27 points on their way to defeating the Falcons, as Tyrod Taylor ($6,700) had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the victory. The Dolphins have given up the 10th-most FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks, so Taylor could come away with a valuable stat line again.
The top stacking option to pair with Taylor is Adonai Mitchell ($6,000), who caught eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and one touchdown against the Falcons last week. Since being traded to the Jets, he has been targeted 25 times in three games. Given the lack of talent that the Jets have at wide receiver behind him, Mitchell should remain in a prominent role.
Other Stacks to Consider
Bengals – Joe Burrow ($8,100) + Ja'Marr Chase ($9,100)
Cardinals – Jacoby Brissett ($7,200) + Trey McBride ($8,600)
Packers – Jordan Love ($7,400) + Christian Watson ($6,200)
High-Price Heroes
Josh Allen, BUF vs. CIN ($9,200): Allen threw for a season-low 123 yards against the Steelers last week, though he somewhat salvaged his stat line with one passing touchdown and one rushing score. That game was on the road, where Allen hasn't been at his best this season. At home, he has 21 total touchdowns and averaged 276.5 passing yards over six games.
Not only will Allen now play at home, but he has a terrific matchup against the Bengals, who have allowed a league-high 31.2 points per game, and their 26 passing touchdowns allowed are the second-most. Allen has a hefty salary, but he still stands out among the quarterback options.
De'Von Achane, MIA at NYJ ($9,200): The Dolphins have turned to Achane to carry their offense down the stretch, giving him at least 21 rushing attempts in each of the last three games. And he's been successful with those touches, rushing for at least 120 yards in each and piling up three total touchdowns. While he didn't catch a pass in Week 13, he had four straight games with at least five receptions prior to that.
When Achane took on the Jets in Week 4, he ran 20 times for 99 yards and one touchdown. He scored a touchdown in both games versus the Jets last season, including in Week 18 when he also ran for 121 yards. The Jets have allowed the fifth-most FanDuel points per game to running backs, so expect Achane to have a high floor.
The Smash Spot
James Cook III, BUF vs. CIN ($9,300): The Bills don't have great wide receiver options, which makes creating a Bills stack difficult. However, for those looking to exploit this matchup with the Bengals, the correct move might be to pair Cook with Allen. Cook has already rushed for 1,228 yards, which is the highest mark of his career. With the Bills' offense marching up and down the field, he also has nine total touchdowns.
The Bengals have been terrible at stopping the run, allowing 5.18 yards per carry to running backs. Only the Giants (6.10) have been worse. The Bengals have also allowed 17 total touchdowns to running backs, which gives Cook the full green light this Sunday.
