Minnesota vs. Pittsburgh (+2.5) in Dublin, o/u 41.0
Sunday, 9:30 a.m. EDT
If Kevin O'Connell can salvage Carson Wentz's career, he will cement his reputation as the QB whisperer supreme. With J.J. McCarthy looking a touch overwhelmed to begin his NFL career and then picking up an ankle injury in Week 2, the Vikings turned to Wentz and watched him lead Minnesota to a 48-10 rout of Cincy. Sure, Jordan Mason and Isaiah Rodgers accounted for four of the team's TDs between them, but Wentz completed 70 percent of his passes and chucked a couple scores to his tight ends, and most importantly, he didn't commit a turnover – not bad for a guy with 42 giveaways (32 INTs, 10 lost fumbles) in his prior 42 NFL games. Even with McCarthy and Aaron Jones sidelined, the Vikes still have a dangerous offense, and Justin Jefferson hasn't yet really gotten rolling yet. The team will also get Jordan Addison back from his suspension, and Mason might play well enough over the next few weeks to push Jones into a secondary role in the backfield once he's healthy. Combine that with a Brian Flores defense that ranks in the top 10 in the early going in yards per play allowed, takeaways, sacks, QB rating against and a bunch of other stats, and you once again have a team that's a stealth Super Bowl contender, even in an NFC North that already has two more of those.

The Steelers are 2-1, same as the Vikings, but that success seems a lot more fragile. When he isn't playing a former team, Aaron Rodgers has a 60.7 percent completion rate, 6.1 YPA and 3:3 TD:INT this year, which isn't going to get it done. Jaylen Warren's been solid as the lead back, and Calvin Austin's quickly becoming Rodgers' new downfield mascot a la Allen Lazard, but the Pittsburgh offense has yet to compile 300 yards in a game in 2025, while the defense has yet to keep an opponent under 350 yards. A league-leading plus-5 turnover differential (tied with the Colts and Jaguars) and a strong pass rush has kept the team afloat, but that formula is a tough one to ride to consistent success, and an early Week 5 bye won't help the NFL's second-oldest roster if injuries begin to pile up. Mike Tomlin always seems to find a way, but it's hard to see this as a team that will challenge for double-digit wins, even if the AFC North overall could be headed for a down year.

EARLY SUNDAY
Washington at Atlanta (+1.5), o/u 45.0 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
No Jayden Daniels, no problem last week for the Commanders, who popped for 41 points against an overmatched Raiders squad in what I guess counted as a revenge game for Marcus Mariota, who spent the team's first two years in Vegas backing up Derek Carr. Washington's new Cerberus backfield combined for 143 rushing yards and two TDs, with Chris Rodriguez getting nearly half of the trio's 23 carries despite being the least productive of the three. A minor knee injury to Jacory Croskey-Merritt could clear up the picture in the short term, with Rodriguez as the main between-the-tackles guy, although Jeremy McNichols looked pretty good running up the gut on this one. Mariota did his best Daniels impression with a passing and a rushing TD and a 9.9 YPA, so the team may be able to afford to be patient with the second-year QB. Perhaps more importantly for the Commanders' overall fortunes in 2025, the defense sacked Geno Smith five times, although it's still looking for its first takeaway of the year.
After getting Baker Mayfield'ed in Week 1 and winning pretty handily over the Vikings in Week 2, the Falcons completely fell apart in last week's 30-0 drubbing at the hands of... wait (checks notes) the Panthers??? Michael Penix had his worst game a pro by far, throwing a pick-six with his back to his own goal line, and while the defense didn't give up a ton of yardage, Carolina was mainly just trying to kill the clock in the second half. Bijan Robinson hit 100 scrimmage yards for the third straight game to begin the season, and he's produced 90-plus yards in nine straight games dating back to the end of 2024. Drake London's had a quiet start to the campaign despite good volume, but getting Darnell Mooney back might help give secondaries someone else to worry about. Atlanta's defense has been stout, but Mayfield's the only real test it has had so far, and it failed that one in crunch time. I don't think anyone really have a feel for what the Falcons are going to look like this year yet, including Raheem Morris, so they could end up being one of this season's chaos agents.

Robinson racks up 90 combined yards and a score. Penix throws for 240 yards and two touchdowns, one each to London and Mooney, but he gets picked off twice. Commanders 30-21
New Orleans (+16.5) at Buffalo, o/u 47.5 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
The Saints have, as expected, staked an early claim to being the worst team in the NFL, going 0-3 with a league-worst minus-43 point differential. Two reasonable competitive one-score losses at home to the Cards and Niners were quickly swept aside by a rout in Seattle, as Spencer Rattler committed his first turnover of the year and posted a YPA of 6.1 or lower for the third straight game. Rattler hasn't been the main problem – he's probably proving he's got a career in front of him as a quality backup and game manager, at least. Only five defenses have allowed a higher completion rate, and nobody has a worse TD:INT against than New Orleans' 7:0, stats that have come against Kyler Murray, Mac Jones, and Sam Darnold. And now they get to face... oh. Oh dear.
Josh Allen and the Bills already have a two-game lead in the AFC East that feels insurmountable. After their comeback win over the Ravens in the opener, they're walloped the Jets and Dolphins by a combined 30 points, and Buffalo's one of only two teams in the league who have scored at least 30 in every game so far (Baltimore being the other). The Bills are also one of only three teams that hasn't given the ball away yet, and the other two are also undefeated – the Bucs and Colts. That may not be a coincidence. James Cook has four rushing TDs in three games while averaging nearly 120 scrimmage yards a contest, while Allen's been spreading the ball around effectively – four different pass-catchers have between 13 and 18 targets, led by Dalton Kincaid, while four different players have caught TD passes. The defense bent but didn't break in Week 1 and hasn't exactly been tested since, giving up fewer total yards in the two games since than it did to the Ravens (432 to 430). This team could very easily be 7-0 before it gets challenged again, in Week 9 when Buffalo hosts Kansas City.

Cleveland (+9) at Detroit, o/u 44.5 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
The Browns might end up being this season's gatekeeper team – if you can rout them the way the numbers say you're supposed to, you're a real contender. If you can't, you're a pretender. (That's probably not what fans in Lambeau want to hear right now.) Last week's win over the Packers at least offered some proof of concept that the defense is capable of holding opponents to a score low enough for Joe Flacco and the offense to reach, but Flacco needed 36 pass attempts to gain 142 yards through the air and didn't toss a TD. The 40-year-old has a 5.0 YPA through three games, and while Quinshon Judkins has rapidly gotten up to speed to give Cleveland a rushing threat, secondaries simply don't fear this passing attack right now. That puts incredible pressure on Myles Garrett and company on the other side of the ball, and while they have yet to let a team reach even 250 yards of offense against them, the unit has absolutely no margin for error.
It took all of one week for the Lions' offense to get back to form. Over the last two weeks, new OC John Morton's crew has amassed 90 points and 937 yards of offense without giving up the ball once. Granted, one of those games was against a hapless, injury-ravaged Bears defense, but the Ravens got disposed of nearly as easily. I do love games like this, where the seemingly irresistible force of the Detroit ground game faces the apparently immovable object that is the Cleveland front seven. Fun! Of course, even if the Lions get stuffed on the ground, Jared Goff has a 77.9 percent completion rate, 8.0 YPA and 7:1 TD:INT, so it's not like this offense is one-dimensional, and who knows what might happen if Isaac TeSlaa sees real target volume. So far, Goff hasn't needed to do much more than pepper Amon-Ra St. Brown while occasionally looking Jameson Williams' way.

Goff throws for 300 yards and four scores, one each to ARSB, Williams (who tops 100 yards), TeSlaa and Kalif Raymond. Lions 35-7
Tennessee (+7) at Houston, o/u 38.5 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
Woof. This one could be ugly. The battle for the AFC South basement features two winless teams, and a Titans offense that's been so bad, Brian Callahan – you know, the guy hired as head coach because of the great job he did in Cincinnati running the show for Joe Burrow – handing off play-calling duties to his QBs coach Bo Hardegree, who briefly held the interim OC job with the Raiders in 2023 under Antonio Pierce. Welcome to the perils of being a first overall pick, Cam Ward. Ward hasn't been completely awful, but a 54.5 percent completion rate, 5.1 YPA, three turnovers in three games (one INT, two lost fumbles) and 15 sacks paints a fairly grim picture. The Tennessee offense has yet to score more than 20 points in a game or top 282 total yards, while the best the defense has done is hold the opposition to 20 points and 317 yards, both in Week 1 against the Broncos. There's a lot of work to be done here, on both sides of the ball, and there just isn't enough talent to expect a quick turnaround.
The Texans, on the other hand, have talent. C.J. Stroud still has Nico Collins to throw to, and Christian Kirk just joined the party. Nick Chubb isn't the guy he was two knee surgeries ago, but he's still effective, and a timeshare with rookie Woody Marks could help him stay that way. Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter lead a pass rush that's in the top 10 in sacks. They've still lost three straight to begin the year, although by a total of only 13 points, and Stroud remains hamstrung by its sketchy offensive line. Houston has yet to reach 300 yards of offense in a game in 2025, and Stroud's thrown more INTs (three) than TDs (two) with a career-low 6.7 YPA. This should be a get-right game for the Texans, but it may not be an easy one, and they've made a habit of blowing it at home in this rivarly.

The Scoop: Pollard picks up 80 combined yards and a touchdown. Ward throws for under 200 yards and gets sacked four times. Chubb manages 70 yards. Stroud throws for under 200 yards as well but does find Collins for what proves to be the game-winning TD. Texans 16-13
Carolina (+5.5) at New England, o/u 43.0 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
Why, of course the Panthers put together their best game of the season on offense after losing two-fifths of their starting offensive line, including their center. Makes perfect sense. To be fair, they did generate a season-low 224 yards of offense last week, winning the game largely because they won the turnover battle for the first time – including this pick-six on a really poor decision by Michael Penix, while Bryce Young avoided giving the ball away for the first time in 2025. It seems fair to chalk up that win to a no-show by Atlanta rather than a sudden turnaround by Carolina, especially with Young's supporting cast picking up some minor injuries in the process, but at least the team took advantage of an opportunity? That's progress, of a sort.
The Patriots are also 1-2, and their one win also came during the only game this season in which they won the turnover battle. That wasn't the case last week, as the backfield combined to lose a stunning four fumbles – two by Rhamondre Stevenson, and one each by Drake Maye and Antonio Gibson – in a one-score loss to the Steelers. The glass-half-full way of looking at that is better luck on recovering those fumbles might have made the difference, and hey, at least rookie TreVeyon Henderson didn't cough up the ball. howMike Vrabel responds to that epidemic of butterfingeritis might be the story of this game from a fantasy perspective, as Henderson might only need one chance to handle lead back duties to run away with the job, figuratively and literally. His 3.4 YPC so far isn't encouraging, but he showed his explosiveness in the preseason. Maye's fumbling issues remain an issue – in 16 career NFL games he's put the ball on the carpet 11 times, losing seven of those fumbles – but better protection would help, as he's also been sacked 44 times in those games, including 12 times to begin 2025. When he gets time to throw, he's showing real growth, completing 72.6 percent of his passes with a 7.4 YPA and 5:2 TD:INT. If Stefon Diggs turns out not to be washed (the jury's still very much out on that), so much the better.

NFL weather report: 10-20 percent chance of rain
The Scoop: Hubbard pops for 90 yards and a TD. Young throws for 230 yards and two scores, both to McMillan. Henderson leads the NE backfield with 80 yards and a touchdown. Maye throws for 210 yards and a TD to Henry, but a strip sack by Derrick Brown ends the Pats' attempt at a late game-winning drive. Panthers 21-20
L.A. Chargers at N.Y. Giants (+6.5), o/u 44.0 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
The Chargers are undefeated, and nobody else in the AFC West has more than one win yet, so there's a real chance for Jim Harbaugh's squad to put some distance between themselves and the competition. The loss of Najee Harris just accelerated the development of Omarion Hampton, who struck for 129 scrimmage yards and his first career NFL touchdown in last week's win over the Broncos. The offense has been flowing through Justin Herbert though, which is unusual for a Greg Roman scheme – Herbert's completed 66.7 percent of his passes with a career-best 8.0 YPA and a 6:1 TD:INT, and he hasn't even rekindled his connection with Ladd McConkey yet. Instead, the sixth-year QB has leaned on Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston, and even gave second-generation rookie TE Oronde Gadsden a warm welcome to the league, leading him to a 5-46-0 line on seven targets last week. The defense has come up big when it's had to and been more stingy than dominant, but only the Browns and Falcons have allowed more first downs so far, and only the Jags and Panthers have a lower QB rating against. That's motley company to be keeping for sure, but Derwin James and crew have the talent to stay at that level.
I didn't think my opinion of Brian Daboll could get any lower, but he still has the ability to surprise me apparently. I just... if you're going to sign two veteran QBs to act as a buffer for Jaxson Dart before transitioning the offense over to him, isn't this exactly the kind of opponent you'd want to avoid having the rookie face? The Giants play the Saints next week, for pity's sake. Why wouldn't you wait until then to ease Dart into the starting job? Absolutely mind-boggling. Anyway, Dart gets his first NFL start against a defense that's already stifled Patrick Mahomes and Geno Smith this year, so good luck, kid. Cam Skattebo at least looks like the real deal in the backfield, and Tyrone Tracy's shoulder injury makes that transition a lot simpler, but Malik Nabers may also be playing through a shoulder issue Sunday, and Dart's offensive line may not be at full strength either. You'd think those would be good reasons to wait another week to give Dart his debut, and yet. Not that it matters, as the Giants' defense is pretty terrible and has already given up over 400 yards of offense twice while producing just one takeaway in three games.

The Scoop: Hampton piles up 120 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. Herbert throws for 270 yards and two scores, hitting McConkey and Allen. Skattebo gains 80 yards. Dart's first start is a mixed bag, as he throws for 220 yards and two TDs, one each to Nabers and Daniel Bellinger, but he also gets picked off twice and loses a fumble. Chargers 27-14
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay (+3.5), o/u 44.0 – Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT
I don't want to say the Eagles are lucky to 3-0, exactly, but they don't have any clean wins yet. They squeaked by what's turned out to be a pretty awful Cowboys team in Week 1, as Jalen Carter got himself ejected against the right squad. Travis Kelce saw a potential TD bounce off his hands for an interception, and Harrison Butker miss a field goal, in a three-point win over Kansas City in Week 2. And last week, it took this play from Jordan Davis on what would have been a game-winning FG for the Rams to avoid that first L. It wouldn't take much for that 3-0 to be 0-3 right now, is all I'm saying. Of course, you make your own luck, and having players like Davis and Jalen Hurts (seven combined TDs this season, three through the air and four on the ground, against one turnover) help on that front. Getting Saquon Barkley going would be nice too – the defending champs have given up more yards than they've generated in all three games so far.
I really wanted to flip this result for all the reasons listed above, but the fact that Baker Mayfield is nursing an injury to his throwing arm and won't have Mike Evans available was enough to dissuade me. Chris Godwin could make his 2025 debut this week, and Emeka Egbuka's been a revelation so far, but Tampa Bay has had more than its fair share of luck so far too, winning all three games in the final minute of the fourth quarter. In a bizarre mirror image of the Eagles' Week 3 win, the Bucs actually survived a Will McDonald blocked field-goal return to the house with less than two minutes left, as Mayfield calmly marched back down the field with completions of 20-plus yards to Egbuka and Sterling Shepard to give Chase McLaughlin another chance. Mayfield and the offense have yet to give the ball away, and if they can keep that streak alive in the muggy heat in Tampa (and potentially rain too) while possibly having a third-stringer at right tackle, their luck may just trump Philly's.

LATE SUNDAY
Indianapolis (+3.5) at L.A. Rams, o/u 49.5 – Sunday, 4:05 p.m. EDT
Indiana Jones, huh. I'd like it better if he actually looked like Harrison Ford rather than Bruce Campbell, so I'm sticking with Danny Dimes. (Wait, does that make Brian Daboll's playbook the Necronomicon?) Regardless of what you call him, just don't call Daniel Jones late in his progressions, because he's been on fire to begin the season. The former Giants "bust" has a 71.6 percent completion rate and astounding 9.3 YPA, and he hasn't committed a turnover while producing six total TDs (three through the air, three on the ground). In fact, he's the only player in the Super Bowl era with three passing TDs, three rushing TDs and zero turnovers in the first three games of a season. Klaatu barada necktie, indeed. All that's somewhat taken the focus away from Jonathan Taylor, who leads the NFL with 431 scrimmage yards, or a defense that seems to have taken a step forward with former Bengals DC Lou Anarumo at the helm, which will come as a surprise to Cincy fans.
It took a miracle play by the defending Super Bowl champs at the end of the game to stick the Rams with their first loss, which has to count as a moral victory if anything does. Otherwise, everything's going pretty much according to plan for Sean McVay's boys. Matthew Stafford's been his usual self, Davante Adams has been an upgrade on Cooper Kupp as Puka Nacua's partner in crime, and Blake Corum is getting a chance to push Kyren Williams for touches now that he's no longer a rookie. The defense has yet to allow 300 yards of offense in a game and is tied with the Broncos for the league lead in sacks while sitting in the top five in yards per play allowed. The NFC West promises to be a war right to the bitter end – everybody's started the season at 2-1 or better – so the Rams can't afford too many bad beats like last week, but they should be able to go toe to toe with anyone.

Jacksonville (+3) at San Francisco, o/u 47.0
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. EDT
The Jaguars Jagged their way through what turned out to be a soft early schedule, beating the Panthers and Texans but losing to a Bengals team that had Jake Browning under center most of the game. The offense was supposed to be the engine of the team with Liam Coen calling the shots, and while Travis Etienne is doing a credible Bucky Irving impression, Trevor Lawrence may be too far gone to be salvaged. His 55.8 percent completion rate and 5.9 YPA would both be career lows, and they come with a 4:4 TD:INT. His struggles have dragged down both Brian Thomas and rookie Travis Hunter, although Hunter can at least go take his frustrations out on defense. Instead, DC Anthony Campanile's unit has been keeping Jacksonville afloat, averaging three takeaways a game and sitting in the top 10 in yards per play allowed. If things begin to click for Lawrence in Coen's scheme, the Jags could be playoff contenders, but with a tough stretch of opponents ahead of a Week 8 bye, you have to wonder if Coen will be forced to give Nick Mullens a chance at some point. Lawrence has simply looked that bad.
Another week, another significant injury for the Niners. Nick Bosa lasted 14 snaps in Week 3 before tearing his ACL and being lost for the season, and as yet neither George Kittle nor Brandon Aiyuk are ready to return. Reinforcements are coming – Demarcus Robinson is done serving his suspension, and Brock Purdy seems intent on making a quick return – but that's balanced out by ankle and shoulder issues for Jauan Jennings, and Ricky Pearsall may not be 100 percent either. Despite all that, San Francisco is 3-0 with two divisional wins in the bank, even if the three victories were by a combined 10 points. Doing just enough to keep rolling while waiting for the roster to get at least close to full strength is a credit to both Kyle Shanahan and old/new DC Robert Saleh, and maybe the most amazing stat from the team's undefeated start is that Christian McCaffrey has gotten into the end zone only once so far.

Baltimore at Kansas City (+2.5), o/u 48.5 – Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EDT
For all the success these two franchises have had in recent years, they've only met in the playoffs once during the Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes eras, which seems wild. (Kansas City won 17-10 in the AFC Championship game in 2023 before beating San Francisco in the Super Bowl.) Somehow, both teams are 1-2 to start the current campaign, but the Ravens feel like they're in better shape right now. Their losses were to the Bills and Lions, both legit Super Bowl threats, and they're scored 30-plus points in three straight games – and seven straight regular-season games going back to Week 15 of last year. Jackson's got some truly bonkers numbers through the air so far, posting a 72.0 percent completion rate, 9.6 YPA and 9:0 TD:INT, but the flip side of the passing acumen is that the ground game is lagging a bit. Derrick Henry still has a 5.9 YPC, but he's already lost multiple fumbles in a season for the first time since 2022, and his touch volume's down in the early going – he's on pace for under 250 carries over a full season for the first time since 2018, when the Titans were still trying to figure out that maybe handing the ball to the big man over and over was a better idea than giving Dion Lewis a nearly equal workload. The Ravens may just be trying to keep Henry fresher for the playoffs, but they gotta make sure they get there first.
Speaking of sudden uncertainly about making the playoffs... Kansas City hasn't missed the postseason since 2014, but Andy Reid's boys are digging an early hole for themselves. Like Baltimore, KC's two losses are to two excellent teams (the Eagles and Chargers), but the offense remained mostly stuck in neutral even against the lowly Giants last week. Mahomes should get Xavier Worthy back this week, but how much he plays, and how effective he is while wearing protection for his shoulder, are big question marks. In Worthy's place, Tyquan Thornton has emerged as a deep threat with a 7-130-2 line on 14 targets over the last two games, and the two speedsters could present secondaries with a lot of problems, while Travis Kelce and Hollywood Brown work the middle of the field until Rashee Rice is allowed to suit up again. You can still see the makings of a very dangerous passing game here, but given how long it's been since Mahomes was putting up MVP-caliber numbers, you have to wonder if it's not the roster that's the problem, but the staleness of the scheme being run by Reid and OC Matt Nagy.

Chicago (+1) at Las Vegas, o/u 48.0 – Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EDT
One week after getting pasted by the Lions, the Bears had little trouble handling the Cowboys, which says more about Dallas than it does Chicago. Caleb Williams looked great against a secondary that may not have an NFL-quality player right now, but his numbers through the first two weeks (61.5 percent completion rate, 6.4 YPA, 3:1 TD:INT) probably better reflect where he is as a quarterback right now. Still, confidence can be king, and the second-year QB has a good support system in place now on the coaching front in addition to an impressive array of pass-catchers he can target. Williams may need to keep slinging it – the defense has key injuries at all three levels, and really the only thing that saved the Bears last week was four takeaways. Chicago is 31st in both yards per carry allowed and completion rate against, which is a distressing combination – unless you've got fantasy shares in the Bears' skill players, in which case it's great.
The Raiders are also 1-2, but things are unravelling quickly after they won their opener against the Pats. Losses to the Chargers and Commanders, two credible playoff teams at worst, by a combined 61-33 shows how big the gap is between Vegas and a true contender. Geno Smith's produced some big plays, but his completion rate's down from his Seattle renaissance and he's thrown four INTs in three games. Ashton Jeanty can't get much going behind a weak offensive line, either – only Chase Brown's 0.8 yards before contact per carry is a lower rate than Jeanty's 1.1, and the rookie's only doing as well as he is thanks to a league-leading 13 broken tackles. The Raiders' run defense at least appeared to be a strength, but then Washington piled up 201 rushing yards against them without Jayden Daniels even being on the field. At least Vegas is a lot healthier than Chicago.

SUNDAY NIGHT
Green Bay at Dallas (+7), o/u 47.5 – Sunday, 8:20 p.m. EDT
Wait, was this game a big deal for some reason? I feel like there was something to talk about, but it's gotten so little media attention it's slipped my mind. Huh. Anyway, the Packers got tripped up by the Browns' defense last week, one week after steamrolling the Commanders' defense, and for the most part is seems reasonable to just write Week 3 off as one of those games against a tough unit defending its home turf. Jordan Love has a 67.9 percent completion rate and 8.5 YPA, both of which would be his best marks since he took over as Green Bay's starter, and he's done it without much continuity on the receiving front. Jayden Reed has joined Christian Watson on the shelf while Tucker Kraft is banged up, providing first-round pick Matthew Golden with a clear path to a breakout, if Love starts giving him real volume – he has yet to see more than four targets in a game. Josh Jacobs is playing through an ankle injury which has dragged his YPC down to 3.1, but he still make an impact as a pass-catcher last week and should be fine. The whole unit appears headed for a huge day against arguably the worst defense in the NFL right now, as Dallas has already given Russell Wilson what might end up being his gold watch game in Week 2, and which became the first defense history to not sack Caleb Williams last week while surrendering four passing TDs to the kid. Love is, to put it politely, a step up from either of those QBs.
Oh, right, that's what it was! The Cowboys defense is so bad in large part because they traded Micah Parsons right before the season started. You might have heard something about that. Parsons has "only" 1.5 sacks in his first three games with Green Bay, but he's drawing so much attention that Rashad Gary has 4.5 and is on his way to a career year. Dallas' offensive line will be short two starters in the middle and isn't getting a whole lot of help from its tackles (Terence Steele's overall PFF grade is 34th out of 69 OTs, while Tyler Guyton's is 61st), which means Dak Prescott could be in for a long, long, long night. Javonte Williams has looked good in the backfield when he gets a chance, but when the defense is giving up over 30 points a game, it's hard to stick to the run. At least Prescott can try to keep pace with George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb... oh, Lamb's hurt too. Last week when the star wideout went down, Prescott's response was to check down to tight end Jake Ferguson to the tune of 14 targets. They've have time to prepare a proper adjustment to the game plan, but Parsons, Gary and company could blow those plans up pretty quickly.

Prescott throws for 200 yards and a score to Ferguson but gets picked off twice and sacked six times. Packers 34-10
MONDAY NIGHT
N.Y. Jets (+3) at Miami, o/u 45.0 – Monday, 7:15 p.m. EDT
Do you think it crossed Will McDonald's mind, as he returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown in Tampa Bay with less than two minutes remaining in the game last week, that he was leaving too much time on the clock for Baker Mayfield? I'm not saying he should have slid at the goal line or something – the Jets needed a touchdown to take the lead, and there it was in front of him – but maybe he could have, I dunno, run back and forth at the half-yard line to burn more time, until someone got close enough to try and tackle him? I'm sure the coaching staff will get right on practicing that scenario for the future. Anyway, after finding a way to lose to the Steelers in Week 1 and getting predictably clobbered by the Bills in Week 2, the Jets are 0-3 and wondering what they need to do to get Aaron Glenn his first win. (The easy answer is, "play the Cowboys in Week 5", but let's not look past this one quite yet.) Justin Fields could return from a concussion this week, which may or may not help, but the offense really needs someone other than Garrett Wilson to make an impact. Breece Hall's been almost invisible since the opener, and with the defense dealing with some big injuries, at the very least the Jets need the good version of Fields to show up here to avoid being all alone in the AFC East basement.
The Dolphins are also 0-3, but you can argue they're heading in the right direction after keeping things close-ish for most of last week's loss to the Bills. Miami's still tied with Dallas at the bottom of the league with a minus-5 turnover differential though, and the defense is still looking for its first takeaway – both these defenses are, in fact – while Tua Tagovailoa's given it away five times in three games. Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and De'Von Achane are still finding ways to be productive, but that hasn't been enough when DC Anthony Weaver's unit is sitting 29th in yards per play allowed, 32nd in QB rating against and 32nd in PPG against.

Head-to-head record, last five years: 8-2 MIA, average score 24-16 MIA, average margin of victory 15 points. MIA has won nine straight meetings at Hard Rock Stadium by an average score of 25-15. In the Jets' last win in Miami, Week 4 of the 2015 season, Chris Ivory ran for 166 yards and a touchdown while Ryan Fitzpatrick hit Eric Decker for another score in a 27-14 victory
The Scoop: Hall puts together 80 yards. Fields starts and throws for under 200 yards, but he does hit Mason Taylor for one score while running in another. Achane collects 80 scrimmage yards and a TD. Tagovailoa throws for 240 yards and two touchdowns, one each to Waddle and Tyreek. Dolphins 21-20
Cincinnati (+7.5) at Denver, o/u 44.0 – Monday, 8:15 p.m. EDT
Somehow, the Bengals find themselves tied atop the AFC North at 2-1, even after getting thoroughly curb-stomped by the Vikings last week. Joe Burrow's toe surgery has put Jake Browning under center, and while the veteran backup has completed 67.8 of his passes in six-plus quarters since Burrow was sidelined, he also has a 3:5 TD:INT, and both Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins now look like much shakier fantasy investments. Chase Brown's the big loser here, though. He was already struggling to find running room behind a mediocre offensive line, but now defenses have much less to worry about through the air. Cincy somehow beat the Jags in Week 2 despite committing three turnovers, but that was the Jags – after this week, their next three opponents are the Lions, Packers and Steelers, and none of them figure to be as generous.
The Broncos are 1-2, losing by a combined four points to the Colts and Bolts, but that framing might be a little too optimistic. Bo Nix and the offense are struggling to find the rhythm they had at the end of 2024, and last week they only picked up nine first downs to the Chargers' 29, needing a couple takeaways to stay close. J.K. Dobbins has settled in nicely as a reliable back in Sean Payton's scheme, but rookie RJ Harvey has seen his role dwindle as he adjusts to the NFL, and bubble screens to Troy Franklin aren't enough support through the air for Courtland Sutton. Evan Engram's getting healthier though, which might help. The defense leads the league in pressure rate and is tied for the lead in sacks, but that hasn't led to the whole unit being particularly stingy yet. Right now, it seems to be on Nix to start clicking again, and give DC Vance Joseph's crew a bigger margin for error.

Strong fade: WR Marvin Mims (CIN third in DVOA vs. WR2 in 2025)

The Scoop: Brown ekes out 40 yards. Browning throws for 250 yards and two touchdowns, hitting Iosivas and Drew Sample, but he gets picked off twice. Dobbins leads the DEN backfield with 90 yards and a TD, while Harvey adds 60 combined yards and a receiving score. Nix does toss a pick-six to Geno Stone, but he redeems himself with 240 passing yards and a second touchdown to Sutton. Broncos 24-21
THURSDAY NIGHT
Seattle at Arizona (+1.5), o/u 43.5 – Thursday, 8:15 p.m. EDT
After coming up just short against the Niners in their opener, the Seahawks have proceeded to stomp the Steelers and Saints by a combined score of 75-30. Sam Darnold has a 70.6 percent completion rate, 4:2 TD:INT and absurd 10.1 YPA in the two wins, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba being his main target but Cooper Kupp and rookie Tory Horton also making an impact. Kenneth Walker has also restaked his claim to the top RB job, churning out 143 rushing yards and three TDs in the last two weeks while Zach Charbonnet deals with a foot injury, but this backfield could end up being about as consistent as a weather vane. It's Mike Macdonald's defense that's been driving the team, though, ranking second in points per game allowed, and top 10 in yards per play allowed, QB rating against, pressure rate, yards per carry allowed and a host of other categories.
There's far less uncertainty in the Cardinals' backfield, but not for a good reason. James Conner went down in Week 3 and will undergo season-ending foot surgery, leaving the RB1 job firmly in the hands of second-year back Trey Benson. Benson hasn't had a chance to carry the load in the NFL yet — his career high in carries is only 11 — but his 6.0 YPC is encouraging, and his 3.1 yards per carry after contact is among the best marks in the league in the early going, nestled between James Cook and Derrick Henry. He's also getting used more as a pass-catcher, and after seeing only six targets total as a rookie, Benson's caught seven of 10 the last two games for 39 yards. Like Seattle, Arizona is 2-1 with their only loss coming to San Francisco, but the Cards haven't looked quite as impressive in their wins over the Saints and Panthers. Until Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison and the passing game get rolling, close wins might be the ceiling for this offense, and their upcoming schedule through their Week 8 bye features a lot of secondaries that have been stingy in the early going. Their second half looks a lot easier, though, starting in Week 9 with the Cowboys, so there could be some buy-low opportunities on everyone except Trey McBride, who seems fairly matchup-proof.
