The spread for this game has seen some interesting movement, but it ultimately has landed back where it started before Week 17 and then some. The line sat at 49ers +1.5 before Week 17 kicked off, but in the immediate aftermath of Week 17 results, which included San Fran's rousing 42-38 SNF victory over the Bears, the number flipped to Niners -1.5. However, bettors corrected that over the course of the last few days, betting it back over to as much as Seahawks -2.5 entering the weekend.
In contrast, the total has one firm trajectory, that being downward. The number was at 49.5 before Week 17 kicked off, and it has progressively been bet down to 47.5 despite the 49ers' aforementioned offensive surge.

Seahawks vs. 49ers NFL Picks
This matchup sets up as especially intriguing, even beyond the big-picture stakes at play. These division rivals both enter Saturday on six-game winning streaks and have two of the most explosive offensive players in the league at their respective positions in Christian McCaffrey and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
It's difficult to determine if much can be taken from how things unfolded when these two teams met back in Week 1. In that low-scoring 17-13 win for San Francisco at Lumen Field, Sam Darnold was starting his first regular-season game in Seattle, and while he had instant chemistry with Smith-Njigba, that connection hadn't reached its final form just yet.
On the other side, the 49ers did have most of the same cast as they'll take the field with Saturday night, although Brock Purdy was getting accustomed to a makeshift receiving corps that still didn't have veteran Demarcus Robinson available due to a suspension, nor Kendrick Bourne, who arrived later in the season. While those are not particularly impactful additions, both players are heady, trustworthy veterans that have Purdy's trust and give him other options beyond Jauan Jennings, McCaffrey and George Kittle (ankle).
Both offenses come into this regular-season finale much more cohesive, and both Purdy and McCaffrey are especially running hot – the former has three straight games with at least 295 passing yards and three touchdown passes, while McCaffrey has back-to-back 100-yard efforts on the ground. The matchup against the Seahawks is a daunting one, but this is a game with a fairly elevated total and one where I can see the Niners putting up a formidable fight, even if they ultimately come up short.
Consequently, an SGP that uses the Alternate Spread feature to give San Fran a bit more wiggle room in terms of points while banking on McCaffrey, who's averaging 141.2 rushing + receiving yards per home game, having a solid performance is my primary bet.

San Fran certainly isn't the subject of much confidence from oddsmakers or bettors this week, but there's a legitimate chance for the Niners to pull off the upset here in front of the home crowd. The recent play of Purdy and McCaffrey certainly lend credence to that notion, and the expected return of Kittle should naturally help as well. Darnold has played well overall this season, but can be goaded into turnovers, and I can see a late mistake turning the tide.
