2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hooker stepped into a full-time starting role at safety for the first time in his career in 2023. He didn't perform particularly well in the expanded role, allowing 81.8 percent of attempted passes to be completed for an average of 11.9 yards per catch. Despite that, the Titans did little to bolster their depth at safety this offseason, meaning Hooker should face little to no competition for a starting role again in 2024. With a full snap count he should rack up plenty of tackles, but there's been little sign of additional play-making ability to this point in his career. Read Past Outlooks
Out again for Week 18
Hooker (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Mike Brown and Daryl Worley should again start at safety for Tennessee in Week 18. Hooker will miss his second straight game to close out the 2024 season, so he'll finish the campaign with 71 tackles (47 solo), nine pass breakups, including a career-best five interceptions, and a pair of forced fumbles across 14 contests, all starts. Signed through 2025, Hooker has one year remaining on a three-year, $30 million contract.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Hooker became a significant part of the Titans' future plans when he signed a three-year, $33 million extension with the team just before the 2022 season kicked off. The campaign itself didn't go as planned, as he battled both shoulder and knee injuries, limiting him to nine games. However, Hooker healed in time to take the field for Week 18 and should have a relatively normal offseason as a result. Assuming Hooker stays healthy, he's a good bet to play over 1,000 defensive snaps and pick off multiple passes as a key member of Tennessee's secondary in 2023.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Lauds new additions to secondary
In an interview with Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site Thursday, Hooker expressed overwhelming praise for the additions of cornerbacks L'Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie, noting that their presence in the secondary allows him "to do my job now" out of the safety position.
ANALYSIS
Hooker had the most productive season of his career in 2023, finishing with 85 tackles, seven pass deflections and one interception across 13 regular-season games. The Titans were middle of the pack across the main statistical categories on defense last season, but one of their weaknesses was a lack of playmaking in the secondary, especially after Kevin Byard was traded to the Eagles in October. Sneed and Awuzie bring a significant boost to the Titans' pass coverage, which will not only unlock Hooker to play more freely at safety, but also give pass rushers Jeffrey Simmons and Harold Landry more time to get to the opposing quarterback.
