27-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
Miami Dolphins
2022 Fantasy Outlook
Berrios broke out in 2021, making first team All-Pro for his contributions as a kick returner while also posting career highs in targets (65), catches (46) and receiving yards (431). He got more opportunities in the Jets' offense due to injuries ahead of him on the depth chart, but Berrios is expected to return to a depth role in 2022 as the No. 4 wide receiver behind holdovers Elijah Moore and Corey Davis, as well as rookie No. 10 overall pick Garrett Wilson. The Dolphins are slated to sign Berrios to a one-year deal, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old will provide the Dolphins with added wide receiver depth behind top options Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as well as give the team a capable option in the return game. In 17 games for the Jets in 2022, Berrios logged a modest 18-145-0 receiving line while adding two rushing touchdowns, but if he's able to secure steady snaps out of the slot with Miami, the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder could see an uptick in production this coming season.

Berrios' contributions as a return man on special teams give him the inside track at securing a roster spot with New York, but his role on offense figures to be limited. The 2018 sixth-rounder filled in whenever top slot receiver Jamison Crowder got hurt last season, but now Berrios figures to find himself third in the pecking order behind Crowder and rookie Elijah Moore when it comes to playing time in the slot.
Berrios was the Jets' punt returner last season and is favored to lock down that role in 2020, but the team is hoping he can assert himself more on offense. Despite dressing for all 16 games in 2019, he played only 85 offensive snaps, finishing with six catches for 115 yards. He turns just 25 in October, so Berrios still has time to develop. On the other hand, it's possible he misses out on a roster spot entirely if the Jets opt to go another direction in the return game.
Berrios, who the Patriots took in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, is a slot prospect who failed to make a splash in the preseason last year and then landed on IR. The 5-foot-9, 183-pounder will now battle for depth chart slotting with the likes of Phillip Dorsett, Maurice Harris, Jakobi Meyers and Demaryius Thomas (when healthy), but if Berrios can show aptitude as a route-runner, he could emerge as a direct backup to PPR-ace Julian Edelman.
Berrios, who the Patriots took in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, is a slot prospect who wasn't particularly productive at Miami (FL), but he enjoyed a breakout senior season in 2017 with 55 receptions for 679 yards and nine touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 183-pounder failed to make a splash in the preseason and landed on IR.
