2024 Fantasy Outlook
Allen was drafted in the fifth round by the Rams in 2023 and proceeded to spend his rookie season backing up Tyler Higbee. Allen caught 10 of 11 targets for 95 yards and one touchdown in 15 appearances. Higbee is expected to miss a significant chunk of 2024 after tearing his ACL in the playoffs, and the Rams signed Colby Parkinson to start while Higbee’s sidelined. Allen’s expected to remain in a backup role barring an injury to Parkinson, and the second-year tight end out of Clemson is in danger of slipping another rung down the depth chart if Higbee’s able to make it back in 2024. Matthew Stafford sent only a single target towards a tight end, with Colby Parkinson catching a 19-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Allen still operated as the No. 1 tight end, on the field for 34 snaps compared to 19 for Parkinson and 18 for Hunter Long. Another tough task for the Rams' tight ends is up next Week 12, as the Eagles have held the position to just under 40 yards per game.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Rams looked to bolster their depth at tight end in taking Allen with a fifth-round pick, and while the Clemson product stands tall at 6-foot-6, a smaller frame (245 pounds) and lack of speed may have contributed to his meager production in the college ranks, with an 88-1,039-12 line over 43 games. With little established talent behind starter Tyler Higbee, however, Allen may have a chance to earn a backup role as a rookie.
