Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Davis finished top-10 in both kickoff and punt return yards last season despite registering just 38 total return attempts. As a result, the third-year wideout has developed into one of the more potent special teams players in the game, even if that hasn't translated into much offensive production (13-112-2 on 17 targets last year). With a combination of over-the-hill veterans and unheralded young players scattered across the depth chart, Davis could be positioned to be a useful offensive piece for the Chargers, albeit with limited upside for significant volume. Not playing vs. Washington
Davis (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Davis will be sidelined for a second consecutive game due to a knee injury that he sustained in Week 3 against the Broncos. Tarheeb Still and KeAndre Lambert-Smith will likely pick up the slack as returners on kickoffs and punts in Davis' absence. Davis' next opportunity to play is Week 6 against the Dolphins on Sunday, Oct. 12.

This Week's Opposing Pass Defense
How does the Dolphins pass defense compare to other NFL teams this season?
The bars represents the team's percentile rank (based on QB Rating Against). The longer the bar, the better their pass defense is. The team and position group ratings only include players that are currently on the roster and not on injured reserve. The list of players in the table only includes defenders with at least 3 attempts against them.

2023
Despite the Chargers' top two WRs missing large chunks of the season and first-rounder Quentin Johnston struggling mightily as a rookie, Davis hardly factored in as a pass catcher in 2023, recording just 141 offensive snaps and 15 receptions for 66 yards. The team did utilize the fourth-rounder out of TCU at times as a jet-motion specialist (14 carries, 101 yards), but it was hardly a ringing endorsement when the likes of Alex Erickson, Keelan Doss and Jalen Guyton all saw significantly more playing time throughout the latter stages of the campaign. It's hard to envision that changing in 2024 after the team brought in Ladd McConkey, Brenden Rice and DJ Chark to compete for significant playing time.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be WR3 in Week 2
Davis may serve as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston for Sunday's game against Carolina after Joshua Palmer was listed as questionable due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Palmer opened the week with two limited practices, but he was downgraded to a DNP on Friday, which doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday. Davis didn't have a target in Week 1 against the Raiders, but he did rush for nine yards on two carries, and the 2023 fourth-round pick could be thrust into an extended role in the Chargers' offense should Palmer be sidelined.
