Phillips is entering the final year of his rookie contract, so his full focus will be logging an impressive contract season after having been limited to just four appearances in 2024 due to an ACL tear. The 2021 first-rounder has only suited up for 12 combined games over the last two years, making it pivotal he proves an ability to stay healthy in 2025. After a quick offseason rehab, Phillips will have an opportunity to produce in what should be a much-improved Dolphins pass rush, with Bradley Chubb returning and Chop Robinson entering Year 2. Phillips, a 2021 first-round pick, was putting together a career year before tearing his ACL in Week 12 of the 2023 campaign. The Dolphins have picked up the fifth-year option of Phillips' rookie deal, keeping him under contract for two more seasons, but it would be reasonable to anticipate him getting off to a slow start in 2024. That could be true for much of Miami's defensive front, with Bradley Chubb also working his way back from an ACL tear, but once both are back to full health, they should be able to bring some serious pressure up front against opposing offenses.
