2025 Fantasy Outlook
Meyers had per-target numbers right around his career averages last season, despite getting a career-high 129 targets while playing with bad quarterbacks in one of the league's worst offenses. A pair of missed games didn't stop him from reaching 1,000 yards for the first time, with 68.5 yards per game crushing his previous career high of 57.4 (2022). It's tempting to assume Meyers will fare even better after the Raiders traded for QB Geno Smith and did nothing to add target competition in free agency. The problem with that assumption is that Meyers' per-route production in 2024 was right around his established norms. The boost in counting stats was a product of rarely leaving the field -- 91.5 percent snap share in his active games -- in an offense that attempted the fourth most passes. Now playing under HC Pete Carroll and OC Chip Kelly while sharing the field with rookie running back Ashton Jeanty, there's not much chance of Meyers approaching last year's per-game route volume. There's also not much chance of drawing more targets than star tight end Brock Bowers, although competition for Smith's attention otherwise looks weak, with Meyers joined at WR by Tre Tucker, Dont'e Thornton, Jack Bech and Amari Cooper. RANKS
Team-high 12 targets Monday
Meyers finished with six receptions on 12 targets for 68 yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Meyers paced Las Vegas in targets, receptions and receiving yards despite finishing with a poor catch rate (50 percent). The 28-year-old has garnered double-digit targets in both appearances with new QB Geno Smith this season, cementing the wideout's spot atop the Raiders' depth chart. Meyers' predictable volume makes him a reliable starting option heading into Sunday's tilt against the Commanders, offering a notable boost in value for those in PPR formats.

Once famous for catching a ton of passes without even one going for a touchdown, Meyers went on an unexpected binge the past two seasons, hitting paydirt six times in 14 games during his final season with New England and then 10 times (two rushing) in 16 games for the Raiders last year. His other numbers in his first Vegas season were solid but less impressive, with the 27-year-old grabbing 71 of 106 targets (67.0 percent) for 807 yards (11.4 YPR, 7.6 YPT). Most of his peripherals looked very similar to what he'd done in New England, including the catch rate, YPT, YPR, a 9.7 aDOT and a 3.4 YAC average. There's nothing that really stands out about Meyers, apart from reliable hands, though he at least plays faster than a 4.63 40 time back in 2019 seemed to suggest. He's never been a deep threat despite being reasonably tall (6-2, 200), and his work with the ball in his hands also fails to stand out. And yet, Meyers is undoubtedly a good player -- one who's added value to every team he's been on despite being stuck with bad QBs each year besides his rookie season (Tom Brady's final Patriots campaign). He's set for TD regression in 2024, especially after Gardner Minshew was the Raiders' "big" QB addition, and there's also some chance of a modest volume decline after the team drafted TE Brock Bowers in the first round. Bowers just might be good enough to step right in as the second option after WR Davante Adams, who took a step back last season but still commanded targets at his usual, dominant rate.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Remains open to new deal
Meyers says he's open to signing a new deal with the Raiders during the regular season but is unsure if that will come to fruition, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Meyers, who is heading into the final year of his current deal, had hoped to have a new contract before the start of the regular season. While that appears highly unlikely to happen at this point, Meyers, who chose not to hold out this summer in order to be there for his teammates, remains willing to negotiate and sign a new deal during the season if certain conditions are met.
