Jaxson Dart

22-Year-Old QuarterbackQB
New York Giants
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Giants traded three picks to move up to select Dart 25th overall in this year’s draft. He'll likely get time to develop behind veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, though a training camp competition isn't entirely out of the question. Dart completed 69.3 percent of his passes at Ole Miss last season and led the FBS with 10.8 YPA. It was the third straight year in which his completion percentage, YPA and passer rating all improved from the previous season, and also his third straight year with at least 389 rushing yards. At 6-foot-2, 224, Dart moves well for his size but is sometimes too eager to scramble, and he may not be fast enough for his college rushing production to translate to the pros (he didn't run a 40-yard dash). He has a quick release with solid velocity, but the Ole Miss offense didn't always require full-field reads, and scouts said he often struggled when forced off his initial read. The biggest issue, though, might be his lack of an elite skill or trait. Nevertheless, the Giants hope a rookie apprenticeship will help the 22-year-old become their franchise QB. Read Past Outlooks

Two total TDs in upset win
QBNew York Giants
October 9, 2025
Dart completed 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while adding 13 carries for 58 yards and another score during the Giants' 34-17 win over the Eagles on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Dart recorded the first signature win of his nascent career with a standout, mistake-free performance. The dynamic rookie got off to a blistering start by helping lead two first-quarter touchdown drives, possessions he capped off with a 20-yard scoring run and a 35-yard strike to Wan'Dale Robinson. Dart went on to lead three more scoring drives in the upset, and he navigated a brief third-quarter exit to be checked for a concussion to finish out the upset victory without incident. Dart has already shown considerable promise in his first three starts while recording a pair of victories in the process. but he'll get quite the test in a Week 7 road matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Hasn't forgotten Saints snub
QBNew York Giants
October 2, 2025
Dart, who the Giants selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, said Wednesday he has a chip on his shoulder with respect to the Saints not selecting him at No. 9, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dart will log his second career start against the Saints on Sunday, making the subject particularly timely. New Orleans had conducted multiple pre-draft visits with Dart, leaving the young signal-caller with the impression there was a good chance he'd be selected by the Saints. New York would ultimately trade back into the first round to select Dart, and his recent ascension to the starting job gives him an early-career shot at one of the teams he feels snubbed him. "There is always a chip on your shoulder any time something like that happens," Dart said of how the draft unfolded with the Saints. "But yeah, I'm just going to go out there and play as hard as I can."
