2025 Fantasy Outlook
Metchie was on the outside looking in at the talented wideouts ahead of him on the depth chart in 2024. He managed just 37 targets (24 catches) over 13 games, picking up scraps that didn't go to Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs or Tank Dell. Metchie faces a similar fate in 2025, even with Diggs gone and Dell expected to miss the season with a knee injury. Houston added several wideouts from outside the organization, and Metchie along with fellow returnee Xavier Hutchinson fighting for a depth spot behind Collins, Christian Kirk and second-round draft pick Jayden Higgins. RANKS
Team-best 41 receiving yards
Metchie caught all three of his targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Metchie led the Jets in receiving yards as Brady Cook threw for only 152 yards in another lopsided loss. Cook has just one touchdown pass in four games (three starts) as the team's starting quarterback, so expectations should remain tempered for Metchie and the rest of the Jets' passing game in Week 18 against the Bills.

2022
Metchie missed the 2022 season while dealing with health issues. Upon his return in 2023, the receiver was a minor part of the Texans offense. On the season, he averaged one catch for 9.9 yards while not scoring a touchdown. It seemed as if Metchie had an opportunity to seize a larger role. During the season, Houston had to play without Tank Dell and Noah Brown for extended periods while Nico Collins and Robert Woods also missed time. However, Metchie played fewer than 20 snaps in 10 games. After the Texans acquired Stefon Diggs, Metchie will battle for a depth role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Expanded opportunity with Jets?
Metchie was traded from the Eagles to the Jets on Wednesday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, potentially opening up more opportunities for the wide receiver.
ANALYSIS
Metchie joins arguably the least deep wide receiver room in the NFL, which is also ravaged by injuries, as Garrett Wilson missed the last two games due to a knee injury, while Josh Reynolds will spend at least three more games on injured reserve due to a hip injury. Metchie has underperformed pre-draft expectations after being a 2022 second-round pick of the Texans, and the Jets will be his third team, but he could take on a larger role for the remainder of the 2025 season prior to becoming a free agent at the end of the season given the reduced competition at his position compared to his previous stops.
