Seattle Seahawks
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Love parlayed a breakout 2022 season into a multi-year deal with the Seahawks and posted a near identical line for the second straight campaign in 2023. Seattle did nothing this offseason to challenge his role, and in fact parted ways with both Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams. That means Love should get the chance to work with defensive mastermind Mike Macdonald in a full-time role, putting him in line to top 100 tackles for the third consecutive season. Love is also an impactful player in coverage, as he's broken up at least five passes in three straight camapigns, giving him well-rounded productive that translates well to IDP formats. Inks three-year extension
SSeattle Seahawks
July 24, 2024
The Seahawks signed Love to a three-year, $36 million contract extension Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
After spending the first four years of his career with the Giants, Love signed a two-year deal with the Seahawks in March of 2023. The 2019 fourth-round pick out of Notre Dame responded by recording a career-high 85 solo tackles (123 total), along with 10 total passes defended, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season games. With Jamal Adams (knee) signing with Tennessee on July 11, Love will enter 2024 as the starting strong safety for Seattle alongside free safety Rayshawn Jenkins.

Love didn't take over as a starting safety for the Giants until the 2022 season. He made a statement with the opportunity, posting 124 tackles, five pass breakups, two interceptions and a sack through 16 games. He's not going to have a full-time gig in Seattle because Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs are locked into starting roles, but he'd immediately become an autostart for fantasy purposes if Adams gets injured, something that has been common over the last three years.
Love played in each of the Giants' 17 games last season, notching five starts and finishing with a career-high 66 tackles along with half a sack and one interception. The Notre Dame product is expected to take on a larger role in 2022, as he'll be counted on as a full-time starter at free safety with the departures of Logan Ryan and Jabrill Peppers. The transition to a starting spot means New York no longer will be able to take full advantage of Love's versatility - he's earned the nickname "Duct Tape" for his ability to patch holes wherever needed in the secondary - but the move should be a positive one overall for the 24-year-old, giving him a chance to break out next to star strong safety Xavier McKinney.
A 2019 fourth-round pick, Love had a solid sophomore season, with 64 tackles, three passes defensed and one interception. This year, he'll be challenged for snaps as Jabrill Peppers, Logan Ryan and last year's second-rounder, Xavier McKinney, are all likely to see regular work at the safety spots.
Last year's fourth-round pick, Love will back up rookie Xavier McKinney and Jabrill Peppers at safety.
So long as New York's secondary remains healthy, the rookie out of Notre Dame isn't expected to field an every-down defensive workload in 2019. The Giants invested a fourth-round pick in Love this April, but with Antoine Bethea -- who has started 13-plus games in 11 of 13 NFL seasons -- situated as the starting free safety, Love is likely to be played more in slot coverage or on special teams.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Opening season as starter
SSeattle Seahawks
September 1, 2023
Love will open the regular season as the Seahawks' starter at strong safety after head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Friday that Jamal Adams will not be ready to play in Week 1, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Adams was activated from the PUP list Aug. 24 and remains in what appears to be the final stages of his recovery from the torn quadriceps tendon he suffered in Week 1 of last season. However, the star safety has yet to practice, putting the Love contingency plan in place for at least the regular-season opener. The fifth-year pro, who recorded a career-high 124 tackles and two interceptions during the final season of his rookie contract with the Giants in 2022, will start alongside holdover Quandre Diggs against the Rams; moreover, given Adams has yet to practice, Love should have a good chance of sticking on the first unit for more than one game.
