2023 Fantasy Outlook
After a strong first two years at LSU, Boutte appeared to be on his way to being an early round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, during his 2022 junior season with the Tigers, he recorded just 48 catches for 538 yards and two touchdowns on 74 targets. Then, following subpar results at the combine, Boutte tumbled to the Patriots in the sixth round of April's draft. Given where he was taken, the 5-11, 195-pounder isn't guaranteed a key role as a rookie, let alone a roster spot. Still, the potential is there for Boutte (formerly a standout college recruit) to bounce back as a pro and turn into a huge bargain for New England. Read Past Outlooks

Inactive versus Miami
Boutte is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
A hamstring issue limited Boutte in practice earlier this week, but he didn't have an injury designation for Sunday's contest. With Boutte the odd man out in Week 2, the Patriots will proceed with a WR corps that includes JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, Demario Douglas and Jalen Reagor.
