2023 Fantasy Outlook
Thibodeaux didn't rack up sacks like some expected him to in his rookie campaign, but he still demonstrated the ability to be a dominant NFL defender. The fifth overall pick in the 2022 Draft logged a modest four sacks, but he also registered 40 pressures, 25 hurries and five batted passes along with 49 tackles. Thibodeaux is unquestionably a big part of the Giants' future, and he'll be given every opportunity to grow into an elite pass rusher. He'll likely become even more of an IDP asset in fantasy as he further learns the intricacies of the NFL game. Read Past Outlooks

Comes on strong late in season
Thibodeaux played in 14 games during his rookie campaign and tallied 48 tackles (32 solo), including four sacks, along with five defended passes, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Thibodeaux missed New York's first two regular-season games after spraining the MCL in his right knee during the preseason. He made his NFL debut in Week 3 against Dallas and remained mostly healthy the rest of the way, though he got off to a slow start statistically with just 25 tackles, which included two sacks, across his first 11 contests. Thibodeaux then had a breakout game Week 15 against Washington, with his career-high 12 tackles including a sack of Taylor Heinicke on which he forced a fumble that he recovered himself for a touchdown. Thibodeaux followed that performance with 11 tackles, including another sack, over his final two contests before resting for the season finale against Philadelphia. Though he may not have made the impact on the stat sheet that many anticipated when he was drafted fifth overall last spring, Thibodeaux drew constant praise from the Giants' staff and is poised to be a key part of the team's defense for years to come.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
The Giants got an immediate impact player when they selected Thibodeaux with the fifth pick in the 2022 Draft. An athletic specimen, Thibodeaux racked up 19 sacks across three college seaons. In New York, he could be a monster on the edge in new defensive coordinator Don "Wink" Martindale's blitz-heavy scheme, and he's already being mentioned as an early favorite for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The sky's the limit for Thibodeaux, so he's worth a look in IDP leagues, despite a likely rookie learning curve.
