The Panthers cut Turay (hamstring) from IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Carolina and Turay haven't closed the door on a reunion down the line, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, but for now the veteran will hit free agency and work to get healthy. The 2018 second-round pick hasn't suited up for NFL action since appearing in three regular-season games with the 49ers back in 2022.

Indy open to trimming payroll
DEIndianapolis Colts
October 31, 2021
Tuary has been the subject of trade calls leading up to Week 8, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
After a four-sack rookie campaign, Turay appeared to be on his way to becoming one of the better defensive ends in the NFL. However, injuries have plagued his career, as he has only appeared in 15 contests over the past three seasons. A trade could work for both parties, as the 2018 second-round pick would likely benefit from a change of scenery, and the Colts would shed payroll and possibly get a decent draft pick in return.
