2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jackson stayed healthy last season for the first time in three years and, perhaps not surprisingly, won his second NFL MVP award. New offensive coordinator Todd Monken helped Jackson to a career-high 457 pass attempts in 16 games (he sat out a meaningless Week 18), which he combined with elite rushing production to finish fourth among QBs in fantasy scoring. His downfield rate, average target depth and accuracy were basically unchanged from the last few years, but Jackson got more help from his receivers, whose 3.7 percent drop rate and 49.0 yards-after-catch percentage were the best he’s had. That propelled his completion percentage (67.2, 8th) and YPA (8.0, 4th) to career highs, which he turned into 3,678 yards, also a career high. He only threw 24 TD passes, but a league-leading 5.6 rushing average that resulted in a QB-high 821 yards and five scores more than made up for it. His TD total was depressed a bit thanks to Gus Edwards’ 13 scores (3rd among RBs). That perhaps gives Jackson TD upside this year, even with Derrick Henry replacing Edwards in the Baltimore backfield. Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews are top-notch targets, and if Rashod Bateman or another receiver emerges, so much the better. He might not win MVP again, but as long as Jackson stays healthy he’s a top-5 fantasy QB. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Efficient in Sunday's win
Jackson completed 20 of 26 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Sunday's 30-23 win over the Commanders. He added 40 rushing yards on 11 carries.
ANALYSIS
The veteran quarterback dissected a weak Washington secondary, and Jackson found Mark Andrews for a 13-yard score just before halftime. Jackson has posted back-to-back games with more than 300 passing yards, and on the season the reigning MVP has put together a 10:2 TD:INT through six games while also chipping in two rushing touchdowns. He could be poised for big numbers again in a potential Week 7 barn burner against the Buccaneers.

Jackson was limited to 12 games for the second consecutive season last year, his campaign cut short by a Week 13 knee injury. Prorating his 11 complete games to a full season would give him nearly 3,500 passing yards and 26 touchdowns, which combined with his elite rushing production would make for a huge fantasy season. And that was with his completion percentage (62.3) and YPA (6.9) declining to career lows as he was saddled with perhaps the league's worst wideout corps. The Ravens addressed it this offseason, first signing Odell Beckham, who missed all of last season recovering from an ACL tear, and then drafting Zay Flowers 22nd overall. A healthy season out of 2021 first-round pick Rashod Bateman, who was limited to six games last year because of a Lisfranc injury, would be just as important. Tight end Mark Andrews remains the best target in the offense, and fellow TE Isaiah Likely is also a receiving threat. Perhaps most important is a new scheme, swapping out Greg Roman's run-heavy offense for a more pass-centered offense under new OC Todd Monken. After much uncertainty about his future, Jackson signed a five-year deal with $135 million guaranteed at signing in May. He remains the best running QB in the league, with 1,000 yards a predictable target for a full season. If the passing game comes around, a top-5 fantasy QB season is virtually assured.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Gets compliments from Newton
Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton stated on a recent appearance of NFL Network's 4th and 1 Show that Jackson is the best dual-threat quarterback in league history, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The endorsement is certainly a weighty one, considering Newton's own impressive body of work as both a passer and rusher over 11 seasons. However, the 2011 first overall pick cites Jackson's big-play ability and elite speed as the difference-maker and concedes he never had the ability to run away from defenders with the same degree of success as Jackson.
