With Kyzir White unsigned well into June, Wilson is the top remaining off-ball linebacker in Arizona after recording 75 tackles, including 3.0 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery on a 74.3 percent snap share in 16 games last season. ANALYSIS
Wilson was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, but his placement on injured reserve means he'll be required to miss at least the next four games, making Week 15 against the Texans on Sunday, Dec. 14 the earliest he is eligible to return. Cody Simon will maintain a starting role at linebacker for as long as Wilson is sidelined.

Wilson, a 2019 fifth-round draft pick, was elevated to starting weakside linebacker when Christian Kirksey suffered a season-ending chest injury in Week 2. He got valuable playing time next to middle linebacker Joe Schobert and finished behind the veteran in defensive snaps (88 percent). The three-year starter at Alabama had a mixed season, but the experience puts him in line to be starting middle linebacker in 2020, if the Browns don't add someone with more experience.
