2025 Fantasy Outlook
A 2024 sixth-round pick, Washington mostly had a quiet rookie season but then came on relatively strong at the end with 16 catches for 169 yards over the final four games. He appeared capable as the Dolphins' No. 3 receiver, and also returned both punts and kickoffs, but there is some risk of slipping down the depth chart after the team signed Nick Westbrook-Ikhine this offseason. At 5-foot-9, 191, with 4.47 speed and a 42.5-inch vertical jump, Washington is a strong and explosive athlete who thrives with the ball in his hands. He fits best in the slot, but the Dolphins also have Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle as excellent options there, making it unclear exactly how Washington will fit into the offense this season. He might just be injury insurance for Hill and Waddle, despite playing reasonably well as a rookie. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Estimated as limited in practice
Washington (thumb) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington was third among Miami's wideouts with 35 (of a possible 57) snaps on offense during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Patriots en route to catching one of his two targets for two yards and carrying three times for 23 yards. As long as Tyreek Hill (seven targets) and Jaylen Waddle (six targets) are healthy, however, both Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will remain speculative fantasy lineup options ahead of Thursday's game against the Bills.

Washington was expected by many to be selected in the fourth round of the 2024 draft. The receiver fell into the sixth round, and Miami selected the receiver with the No. 184 pick. At 5-foot-9, 191 pounds and not showing great route versatility, Washington projects to be a slot receiver. Currently, the Dolphins have Braxton Berrios and River Cracraft who have functioned at times in the No. 3 receiver role. Should Washington have a strong training camp, it’s possible he can challenge Berrios and Cracraft for a regular role in the offense. However, with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle dominating targets, the No. 3 role in Miami is unlikely to provide significant target volume.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Difference maker on kick returns?
The NFL's rule changes for kickoffs and touchbacks could benefit Washington during the Dolphins' Week 1 clash against the Colts on Sunday, Seth Walder of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The NFL moved the touchback from the 30-yard line to the 35, and Walder believes that rule will encourage teams to avoid touchbacks, which benefits clubs who have strong returners. Washington logged the fifth-most kick return yards above expectation last season, and that makes the 2024 sixth-rounder a dangerous weapon against a Colts special-teams unit that allowed the second-most yards over expectation per kick return last year. He logged all 430 of his kick return yards over the final six games of the 2024 regular season and tallied at least 95 yards in three of those contests.
