Arriving in Arizona
The Cardinals signed Walker on Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Walker appeared in all 17 of the Commanders' regular-season games during his one-year stint in Washington in 2024, recording 21 total tackles while primarily contributing on special teams (75 defensive snaps and 343 special teams snaps). Now in Arizona, the 27-year-old will likely play a similar role and compete for a rotational inside linebacker spot throughout the summer.

First-round rookie QB Jayden Daniels may be running for his life behind a porous O-line this season, but his playmaking at least should result in the occasional highlight-worthy play.

The Steelers are rebooting under center in 2024, moving on from Kenny Pickett to some combination of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Whoever claims the title of starter will get to throw to WR George Pickens.

Dan Marcus breaks down Week 13 and notes a number of young IDP emerged in Week 13, including the Steelers' linebacker Mykal Walker.

Devin Lloyd finished Week 15 as the Jaguars' top linebacker with a 91 percent snap share compared to Chad Muma's 15 percent.
2022 Fantasy Outlook
Walker hasn't missed a game since being drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round of the 2020 Draft and has totaled 80 tackles, five pass deflections, one interception, one forced fumble and one defensive touchdown during that stretch. With Foye Oluokun gone and Deion Jones' (shoulder) future uncertain, Walker could garner an increased role in 2022. However, Walker saw more snaps (385) on defense as a rookie than he did last year (186), so rookie second-round pick Troy Anderson is likely the favorite to open the 2022 campaign as the starting middle linebacker next to Rashaan Evans.
