GOALIE
Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK at SJ ($8,400): He allowed four goals in an overtime loss in Game 2, but also faced 47 shots and put in another fine performance after posting back-to-back shutouts. The Knights have been fantastic at home this season but Fleury has been better on the road with a .934 save percentage and 2.11 GAA, and including the season has been victorious against the Sharks three times in four games. He's been the best goalie in this year's playoffs.
CENTER
William Karlsson, VGK at SJ ($6,900): He's been on a tear since Game 3 against the Kings and in his past four games he's scored three goals and four assists. The Sharks have allowed 10 goals in their first two games, and even though the Knights defense has been exposed a little this series, they are still one of the best teams at creating turnovers and moving up the ice with speed. Karlsson has excelled in Gerard Gallant's system, and his ability to change direction and create offense has allowed him to become a legitimate No. 1 center this season.
Anthony Cirelli, TB vs. BOS ($3,330): Cirelli was a clutch scorer in big games during his major junior career, and the Lightning need a win after a 6-2 loss in Game 1. With Steven Stamkos possibly nursing an injury and Brayden Point's line combining for a minus-12 rating, it's Cirelli's time to score that all-important goal in Game 2. Cirelli has already earned Jon Cooper's trust in tough situations, playing regularly on the penalty kill, and on the forecheck he's been very good as well.
WING
David Pastrnak, BOS at TB ($7,300): Seeing what happened in the series against the Leafs, the Bruins' top line probably gets another game or two to put on a show before the Lightning learn how to shut them down. Pastrnak had four assists and his line was dominant in Game 1, and even if the Lightning decide to change up their tactics, the Bruins have already proven that they have the best scoring line in hockey right now.
Jonathan Marchessault, VGK at SJ ($6,500): The Sharks may be very good at blocking shots but that doesn't stop the Knights from putting a lot of pucks on net. With an offense-by-committee approach, there is no single MVP on the team, but Marchessault is one of their best forwards and registered five shots and nine hits in Game 2. He didn't register a point but did have a goal in overtime get called back and he looked dangerous all night.
Alex Tuch, VGK at SJ ($4,700): Tuch will eventually grow into a bigger role, but so far, the big power forward is already showing flashes of what he can be. With his size and skill he's difficult to stop, and the Knights will need his size against a Sharks team that is both big and fast. Tuch was held without a point in Game 2 but played very well, seeing almost 20 minutes and registering four hits for the second straight game. It may not be as pretty as his goal in Game 1, but Tuch has a chance to create havoc in the offensive zone.
DEFENSE
Torey Krug, BOS at TB ($5,500): Given how the Bruins' top scorers are clicking, Krug is arguably the league's best power-play quarterback right now. He had nine points against the Leafs and finished plus-2 in Game 1 against the Lightning. Both teams are quite aggressive but Krug's skating ability allows him to evade checkers more easily, and the Lightning defense has had its fair share of breakdowns already.
Colin Miller, VGK at SJ ($3,700): He didn't score a point against the Kings but already has a goal and an assist in this series, and his role seems to be expanding. Miller played over 20 minutes just once against the Kings, but through two games against the Sharks has averaged over 24 minutes per game. Among Knights defensemen Miller might have the best point shot, earning him some power-play opportunities now and then.
