This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.
Sunday's NHL slate begins at 3 p.m. EDT with Hurricanes-Bruins Game 2 and also features Monday's Game 2 between the Blues and Sharks. Read on to see which players are primed to provide the best value at their respective prices in this slate.
GOALIE
Tuukka Rask, BOS vs. CAR ($8,200): While the Bruins' offense has bee up and down this postseason, Rask has been a constant in net, posting a 2.02 GAA and .938 save percentage through 14 games. With all the goalies priced within $1,000 of each other, it's worth it to pay up for Rask at $8,200.
CENTER
Logan Couture, SJ vs. STL ($6,100): Couture is the leading goal-scorer in these playoffs with 11, and he's playing above a point-per-game pace with 15 in 14 contests. After recording two goals, an assist, four shots and a plus-3 rating in Game 1, Couture should be among the most popular picks in Game 2.
Charlie Coyle, BOS vs. CAR ($4,100): Coyle scored his sixth goal of the postseason in Game 1, and he has three helpers to boot in 14 games. Despite all that success during this playoff run, the trade deadline acquisition from Minnesota can still be had for only $4,100, making him just the ninth-most expensive center in this slate.
WINGS
Warren Foegele, CAR at BOS ($3,700): Every postseason brings previously unheralded players to prominence, and that's been the case for Foegele in 2019. He's fueled Carolina's Cinderella run to the Eastern Conference finals with five goals, nine points and a plus-7 rating through 12 games, yet still costs just $3,700.
Joe Pavelski, SJ vs. STL ($5,600): Pavelski has missed a chunk of this postseason due to injury, but if he hadn't, perhaps he'd be rivaling his teammate Couture for the postseason scoring lead. Since returning from taking the crosscheck that led to San Jose's series-changing Game 7 power play against Vegas in the first round, San Jose's captain has delivered a goal and an assist in each of his two games played.
Timo Meier, SJ vs. STL ($5,300): Like Couture, Meier delivered two goals and an assist in the series opener. That output puts him at a well-rounded 13 points and a plus-7 rating through 15 playoff contests. Given his Game 1 success and strong postseason overall, Meier's a great value at $5,300.
DEFENSEMEN
Alex Pietrangelo, STL at SJ ($6,000): Pietrangelo was far from his best in Saturday's Game 1, yet he still managed to fire multiple shots for the 12th time in his last 13 games while blocking multiple shots for the 11th time in the last 13. His ability to build a high floor in other categories coupled with Pietrangelo's 11 points through 14 games this postseason make the blueliner a strong fantasy play.
Brett Pesce, CAR at BOS ($3,900): Pesce is by far the cheapest of Carolina's top four defensemen at $3,900 despite tremendous two-way play this postseason that's carried over from the regular season. He has six helpers and a plus-8 rating in his past seven games, showing off the all-around skills that helped him post a plus-35 rating during the regular season.
