GOALIE
Jacob Markstrom, VAN vs. EDM ($7,800): Obviously, it would help if Elias Pettersson is in the lineup, but Markstrom was very good Sunday against Florida, making 23 saves for his first win in four games. Markstrom is already 2-0 with a .926 save percentage against the Oilers this season, and even a Milan Lucic hot streak probably won't tip the scales. Darcy Kuemper ($7,200), who has won three straight with just five goals allowed, is also another cheap option.
CENTER
Elias Pettersson, VAN vs. EDM ($5,800): If Pettersson plays, this is great value for him. With 42 points in 38 games, he's by far Vancouver's most dangerous offensive player; meanwhile, the Oilers defense is in rough shape and their goaltending is unreliable. The Canucks should be well-rested at home and fired up coming off a win against Florida. If Pettersson doesn't play, Bo Horvat ($5,700) is a great option, too.
Alex Galchenyuk, ARI vs. SJ ($4,400): He already has six points this month and 14 points in his past nine games, and the Coyotes should have the advantage against the Sharks, who played last night. Chucky is on pace for his fifth straight 40-point season. He's scored three points in two games against San Jose this season and comes at a very fair price.
WING
Johnny Gaudreau, CGY vs. BUF ($7,600): He's worth the splurge because of the MVP-caliber numbers he puts up. He leads all wingers in FPPG, is riding an eight-game point streak and is currently tied for second in league scoring with 69 points. The young and inconsistent Sabres defense will be no match, and with the Flames on home ice, head coach Bill Peters gets to dictate the matchups.
Ryan Dzingel, OTT vs. COL ($4,900): He's been one of the few bright spots in Ottawa this season, emerging as a promising second-line scorer after being drafted in the seventh round eight years ago. He's making the most of his opportunities on a team riddled with injuries and with very little overall talent to begin with. The Avs have allowed three goals or more in four straight games.
Peter Cehlarik, BOS at PHI ($2,500): Called up to replace Jake DeBrusk, Cehlarik was AHL Providence's leading scorer with 29 points in 37 games, and if yesterday's lines at practice are any indication, head coach Bruce Cassidy intends to use him in the top six. Cehlarik skated with David Krejci, and with David Backes potentially dropping down the depth chart, there could be even more talent if Ryan Donato joins them. Cehlarik is a great value play with lots of upside against a Philly team that can't defend.
DEFENSE
Thomas Chabot, OTT vs. COL ($5,000): Chabot is confirmed to return Wednesday, which would be his first game since Dec. 28. He's been brilliant in his sophomore season, scoring 38 points in 38 games and is one of only four defensemen (min. 10 GP) to average a point per game. He's way cheaper than Brent Burns ($6,700) and Mark Giordano ($6,300), two other members of the fearsome four.
Rasmus Dahlin, BUF at CGY ($4,300): He's on a four-game point streak with five assists and played over 21 minutes in each of his past three games. His production yo-yos but his role has remained significant, and given his hot streak and the Flames' mediocre goaltending, he's an intriguing play at this price. It's baffling that the Flyers' Shayne Gostisbehere ($4,800) and Ivan Provorov ($4,700) cost more.
