Turner announced his retirement following a first-round submission loss to Ignacio Bahamondes in March. He decided to return here and was given a layup of a matchup against an aging former big name in Barboza, and he took full advantage. Turner simply remained aggressive throughout the entire brief bout, and that ended up being more than enough to get Barboza out of there in short order. In fact, referee Herb Dean could have stopped the proceedings a handful of seconds earlier, and nobody would have batted an eye.
