This is a notable win for Turner on multiple fronts. He accepted this fight on short notice and was openly worried about making weight. It took two tries Friday morning, but he got there. Jalin had a massive size and power edge over Green and was eventually able to connect with a shot to the side of his opponent's head which stumbled him. Bobby eventually was flattened out on the mat with Turner firing off countless, unanswered shots. The former was clearly finished, but referee Kerry Hatley refused to stop the fight, so Jalin kept wailing away until Hatley changed his tune. Hopefully the dangerous and woeful actions of the ref do not take away from a terrific performance from Turner -- one that would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Jalin snaps a two-fight losing streak (split decisions to Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot) with the victory.

His gas tank seemed to evaporate in an instant, allowing Hooker to steal all the momentum throughout the final stages of Round 2 and all of Round 3. Turner was essentially on auto pilot the final six-plus minutes, so he did well to see the final bell. That said, Turner needs to figure things out in his next fight. A three-fight losing streak can be a death sentence in any division these days.
