Adam Wharton
21-Year-Old
Crystal Palace
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Wharton went from the Championship to the Premier League in February 2024 and has already established himself as one of the best in the country at 21 years old. The midfielder doesn't have a lot of offensive upside in this Palace system, but when fit he's a constant in the starting XI, cycling possession and occasionally taking set pieces. Wharton struggled with a hip injury throughout last season, but he got a surgery to hopefully correct the issue permanently. If he can put together a fully healthy season, Wharton would be in line for regular starts with more appearances on the scoresheet a likelihood after compiling 13 shots and 26 chances in 20 appearances (16 starts) last season.
Starts against Albania
Wharton started and featured for 75 minutes in Sunday's 2-0 win over Albania.
ANALYSIS
Wharton returned from an illness ahead of the break after appearing against Brighton and is raising hit fitness levels after receiving time with England. This should ensure the midfielder is deemed fully fit ahead of his return to his club, ready for action immediately. He has started in all nine of his appearances this season, although he is still in search of his first goal contribution.

He's not completely free. Sometimes you need to cough it out. I hope this will happen now. Let's see. It was good for him to play 30 minutes. I think he did better and better during the game. Latest Fantasy Rumors
Top target for Chelsea
Wharton has emerged as a top transfer target for Chelsea for the January transfer window, according to TEAMTalk.
ANALYSIS
Wharton is likely to leave Crystal Palace in the near future, but it's hard to imagine the Eagles parting ways with their star playmaker midway through the campaign. Chelsea are keen on signing Wharton since they feel he could be the missing price in midfield alongside Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez. Plus, he would be an excellent upgrade over the likes of Romeo Lavia and Andrey Santos.
