Perez was coming off a nine-goal performance in the 2023/24 season with Real Betis, but he went to Villarreal and seemingly turned into a new player. He ended the 2024/25 campaign with 19 goals and two assists across 30 league outings. It'd be a surprise if he came close to those numbers again, but it's not like his goals came in bunches, and he scored eight times across his final 10 appearances. While 19 may not be on the table again, another double-digit output seems like a good possibility.

The striker hasn't been able to repeat the numbers he had in 2024/25, but as long as he stays in the XI, he should be a solid attacking option for the Yellow Submarine. He has an excellent rapport with the likes of Tajon Buchanan and Georges Mikautadze.
