Fernandes was a key player for Manchester United in the 2024/25 season, tallying 18 goal contributions across 36 appearances, with eight goals and 10 assists. Even though the Red Devils added Matheus Cunha in the summer, Fernandes should remain in his play-making role going forward. His usual creative spark combined with upgrades in the attacking line could translate to better numbers for Fernandes, who could easily generate 100-plus shots, 100-plus chances and 100-plus corners taken to go with his excellent scoring and assist numbers for a midfielder. Fernandes should be one of the first midfielders taken off the board in most leagues in 2025/26, which isn't anything new compared to prior seasons.
