2025 Fantasy Outlook
Palmer followed up his breakout campaign with 15 goals and eight assists in 2024/25, though it was a slight dip from the previous season's 22 goals and 11 assists. Notably, that prior production came in 581 fewer minutes, albeit with a ridiculous nine penalties converted (he took one last season). Still just 23 years old, Palmer should remain one of the best fantasy options in the league. Despite Chelsea adding numerous bodies to the attack, it's hard to see Palmer losing starts, keeping his floor higher than most having not dealt with a bad injury the past two years. There is some concern his numbers dropped in the second half of last season, but some of that can be attributed to injuries around him, something that shouldn't be a problem again given Chelsea's summer spending.
Trains with ball
Palmer (groin and toe) is feeling good as he was spotted back in training with the ball while wearing a protective boot, but he will likely return in December, coach Enzo Maresca said in the press conference. "Yes, Cole is wearing a [protective] boot. We don't know when he will be back but for sure it will be soon. He's already on the pitch, he's already touching the ball and the feeling [for him] is good. At the moment, we are only looking at tomorrow's game. It's a Champions League game against Barcelona, that is our focus and then we will look ahead to Arsenal. I don't think he will be available for these two games, but he is doing well."
ANALYSIS
Palmer has resumed training with the ball while wearing a protective boot and is feeling good. The playmaker is likely targeting a return against Leeds United on Dec. 3 since next week's clash with Arsenal is expected to come too soon for him. Until he returns to full fitness, Estevao, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho are seeing increased playing time in the frontline for the Blues.

Suffers toe fracture
Palmer (groin and toe) is ruled out for the next three games due to a toe fracture, coach Enzo Maresca said in the press conference. "For sure he won't feature in this game, and for sure not for Barcelona or Arsenal. Unfortunately, he had an accident at home two days ago where he hit his toe. It is fractured. It's disappointing but these things can happen. It's nothing too serious but it's causing him some pain on his little toe and for sure he's not going to be available for this week or next. He was very close to being back with us from his groin issue. Which is very good but then he had this problem with his toe, which has set him back. It's nothing major but he needs a bit more time to recover."

Not training with squad yet
Palmer (groin) is still not training with the squad as the medical staff are taking it day by day with the playmaker, coach Enzo Maresca said in a press conference, according to Football London. "We hope so but with Cole, we try to schedule the beginning and then we need to review that. We go day by day with Cole. He is not taking any sessions with the team."

Out six more weeks
Palmer (groin) will be out six more weeks due to injury, coach Enzo Maresca said in the press conference, according to Football London. "I was wrong [about Palmer]. Unfortunately he needs to be out for six more weeks. We try to protect Cole as much as we can. The most important thing is when he comes back, he is fully fit. The medical staff are not magicians. We hope six weeks are enough. We need to see it step by step. For sure, he's going to be okay."
