2025 Fantasy Outlook
Caicedo bounced back in 2024/25, showing flashes of the player Chelsea expected when they signed him. After a somewhat disappointing 2023/24, he contributed one goal, two assists and 114 tackles. Most importantly, he started every Premier League match, anchoring the midfield with consistency and control. Adding Champions League may mean that he's not allowed to rest as much in European play, but it's still expected he'll be around 35 starts in league play, assuming he maintains his health. While the upside isn't there as a defensive midfielder, his variety and consistency from defensive stats provides a decent floor.

Could be benched Saturday
Caicedo (not injury related) returned late Thursday night from international duty and is doubtful for Saturday's clash against Brentford, coach Enzo Maresca said in the press conference, according to Football London. "Moi arrived last night - I didn't see him, I will see him today. For all of them it is a question mark for tomorrow. Hopefully they can be back soon."
ANALYSIS
Caicedo hasn't trained with Chelsea yet after returning from international duty Thursday night and is therefore a doubt for Saturday's clash against Brentford. The midfielder is an undisputed starter for the Blues in the midfield and if he had to miss the game, Andrey Santos, if available, or Reece James in a different role could see a starting spot in the midfield.
