Roberts played a big role in the Championship last season, starting 40 times and producing five goal contributions (two goals, three assists.) The defender was excellent for the most part in the second division, which has kind of been the story of his career. In the Premier League, he started 19 times in 2021/22 and eight times in 2023/24. Surrounding those season were massive Championship campaigns and now with Kyle Walker in the mix, Roberts could be set for another underwhelming season, the main worry if drafting him in fantasy leagues.

He seems to be moving in the right direction. Like I said, he's been training with us for the last two or three days. Hopefully that will continue over the international period and hopefully we can see him with us or within contention after that."

Roberts (strain) is progressing through rehabilitation, but is not yet an option, according to manager Scott Parker, per Matt Scrafton of the Burnley Express. "He's on the grass and he's progressed, but he's still not with us. His work's increased a lot, so hopefully it won't be too long now for Connor."

Roberts (strain) is back on the grass but isn't expected to return in a few weeks, manager Scott Parker told media Friday. "He's back on the grass," Parker revealed. "He's reacting in the right way from his treatment but he's still probably a few weeks away. But initially, from where we were, he's definitely heading in the right direction. We'll see how the next couple of weeks go when we pick up his work and hopefully he comes through that and keeps improving, so we'll see how that goes."
