Dean Huijsen
20-Year-Old
Real Madrid
La Liga
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Huijsen is another new defensive addition for Real Madrid, and potentially the most important one. He was one of the best young center-backs in the Premier League last season, excellent on the ball and stout defensively. He offered some upside offensively, scoring three goals and adding a pair of assists, as well as tacking on the usual defensive stats. He won't have nearly as much to do in his own box for Madrid, but he should get plenty of chances for clean sheets, and he has the ability to be a major threat from set pieces.
Solid defensive outing in win
Huijsen registered two shots (zero on goal) in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Sevilla.
ANALYSIS
Huijsen completed the full 90 minutes in his first start since Nov. 23 following his return from an injury absence. He failed to score on a couple of shots but showed no signs of being out of shape defensively, recording seven clearances and a few ball recovery stats throughout the match. He's now likely to play a role in a back line that is still missing all of Eder Militao (hamstring), Trent Alexander-Arnold (quadriceps) and Dani Carvajal (knee).

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Two EPL giants after him
Arsenal and Liverpool are vying to sign Huijsen, according to Sky Germany.
ANALYSIS
Huijsen seems set to leave Bournemouth in the summer, and all signs point to the center-back playing in a bigger club in the 2025-26 season. Both Arsenal and Liverpool could use him, but Real Madrid, a team with even bigger needs defensively, could move for him as well. The Spanish international would be keen on joining Real Madrid if the chance arises.
