Vicario started strong in his second Spurs season before an injury forced him to the sideline for months. When he returned in February, it was behind an injury-riddled defensive unit and an out-of-confidence team focusing on Europa league. In the end, he managed just four clean sheets across 24 league starts. The hope for Vicario is that he can thrive in Thomas Frank's system that should lead to just as many clean sheets and possibly more saves. A fully fit defense in front of him would also go a long way toward helping him reach double-digit clean sheets.

Vicario stopped two of the four shots he faced during Saturday's loss. It was always going to be a very difficult match for Vicario once Xavi Simons was shown a straight red card as Liverpool dominated the ball the rest of the way. Unfortunately Vicario couldn't quite do enough to salvage a point, even if he made some excellent stops while under siege for the second half.
