Gross has completed a return to Brighton on a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season, the club announced Friday.

Gross spent the first half of the season at Dortmund, but he alternated heavily in the lineup -- he made seven starts, seven appearances off the bench and was an unused sub seven times in 21 games between the Bundesliga and the UCL. Gross should see regular minutes in Brighton's midfield right away, as he'd form an excellent partnership next to Carlos Baleba, who's out on AFCON duty with Cameroon.
