2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rodri only had a small sample after an ACL tear left him sidelined for nearly the entire campaign. He returned for the final few games and saw even more time during the Club World Cup, so the thought is that he'll be close to 100 percent for the start of 2025/26. If that's the case and he remains fit, he could hold his usual midfield role the majority of the season with 30-plus starts in play. At his peak a couple years ago, he was frequently involved in goals, totaling eight goals and nine assists. It's hard to see him being near those numbers this season, but as long as he's on the pitch, he'll have the ball near the top of the box and good things usually happen for City in those instances.

Muscular injury confirmed
Rodri has been confirmed to have suffered a muscle injury in his hamstring and is expected to miss around two to three weeks, according to manager Pep Guardiola, per Matthew Howarth of BBC."It's muscular. Of course I don't want to lose him [at all] because he is such an important player. We tried to take care of him, but it is what it is. This is why we tried to be gentle and play [him] for 60-65 minutes."
ANALYSIS
Rodri will be missing some time after suffering an injury in the club's most recent game, although most will be happy to hear it is only a two to three-week layoff due to the hamstring injury. Around two of those weeks will be spent during the international break, so at best the midfielder could miss no time at all, already having withdrawn from the Spanish national team for the break. Most will view this update as positive after he was out for a year with a torn ACL, appearing to be on the better side of the injury and only expecting a minor absence.
