2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rodri only had a small sample after an ACL tear left him sidelined for nearly the entire campaign. He returned for the final few games and saw even more time during the Club World Cup, so the thought is that he'll be close to 100 percent for the start of 2025/26. If that's the case and he remains fit, he could hold his usual midfield role the majority of the season with 30-plus starts in play. At his peak a couple years ago, he was frequently involved in goals, totaling eight goals and nine assists. It's hard to see him being near those numbers this season, but as long as he's on the pitch, he'll have the ball near the top of the box and good things usually happen for City in those instances.
Option for squad
Rodri (hamstring) is expected to be an option for the matchday sqaud for Sunday's match against Bournemouth, according to manager Pep Guardiola. "I think he'll be ready to help, I don't know if from the beginning but hopefully he can be with us. He's been out a few times and we know how important he is for us."
ANALYSIS
Rodri has been out for around two weeks but could already be set for his return in the club's upcoming match, with the midfielder given a chance to make the team. However, the question still remains what role he will hold, appearing to be limited to a bench spot to begin. The main focus for the club will be keeping their anchor in the midfield fit after they stuggled without him following a torn ACL to begin last campaign, likely to be cautious and not risk him if he isn't ready.

Comeback unlikely before November
Rodri (hamstring) is unlikely going to be available before November, coach Pep Guardiola suggested in a press conference. "I don't think so. Aston Villa I don't think so either. It's not long but it's muscular. We have to be careful. We tried many times to prevent another injury but we have not been able to do that so we will see."

Muscular injury confirmed
Rodri has been confirmed to have suffered a muscle injury in his hamstring and is expected to miss around two to three weeks, according to manager Pep Guardiola, per Matthew Howarth of BBC."It's muscular. Of course I don't want to lose him [at all] because he is such an important player. We tried to take care of him, but it is what it is. This is why we tried to be gentle and play [him] for 60-65 minutes."
