2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gnonto had to fight for his place in the starting XI last season, losing it for the middle portion before starting the final five. Despite his fall out of the XI, Gnonto still finished the campaign with nine goals and six assists. Heading into the Premier League there's some uncertainty about his role, though he should open preseason with the inside track to start on the right wing. If so, Gnonto has some upside as a fairly experienced 21-year-old who debuted at Leeds United in the Premier League a couple years ago. While he may not start more than 30 matches, he should get a decent amount of run, which could be enough to near 10 goal contributions in 2025/26.

Absent once again
Gnonto (calf) is out for Saturday's game against Tottenham, manager Daniel Farke told media during his pre-match press conference Thursday. "Willy Gnonto will also miss this game. His calf problems are not sorted. He is not back in team training and for that there is no chance to involve him for the game," Farke said. "He will also sadly just be back after this upcoming international break, so not available for this Tottenham fixture."
ANALYSIS
Gnonto once again missed training this week and won't be available to face the Spurs just before the break. The Italian winger is set to miss a third straight contest, and the coaching staff will hope his calf injury improves during the break so he can be an option to face Burnley on Oct. 18 after the international break. Look for Brenden Aaronson and Noah Okafor to flank Joel Piroe upfront since Daniel James (undisclosed) is also out.
