Best NBA Bets Today

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Lakers to win, -120 @ Hard Rock

The Lakers are sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference standings and enter this rivalry battle against the Clippers on a two-game winning run while going 7-3 over their last 10 contests. Despite not having Austin Reaves (calf) available, the Lakers have relied on Luka Doncic and LeBron James to continue their winning ways, as they're firmly entrenched as one of the best teams in the West. The Clippers are the complete opposite and own the second-worst record in the Conference at 6-21, sitting above only the Sacramento Kings (6-22) and in the midst of a five-game losing streak. With a 1-9 record over their last 10 games and a 3-8 mark at home, it's hard to see the Clippers putting up much of a fight against a red-hot Lakers team. Expect LAL to get the win here.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Sacramento Kings: Deni Avdija over 26.5 points, -104 @ FanDuel

Avdija is coming off a dominant performance in the win over the Kings, as he posted 35 points (12-19 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 10-12 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 42 minutes during Thursday's 134-133 overtime victory. That was his eighth game with at least 30 points this season, and he's firmly entrenched as the Trail Blazers' go-to scoring option. His consistency has been outstanding as well. Over his last 10 outings, he hasn't finished a game with fewer than four rebounds, five assists or 16 points. Having notched at least 25 points in seven of his last nine outings, this line makes plenty of sense for a player who's finding his spots regularly to score while averaging 15.3 shots and 13.2 free-throw attempts per game over that nine-game stretch.

Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry over 5.5 three-pointers, +120 @ BetMGM

There's no question that Curry is one of the best shooters ever to step foot on an NBA court. However, he's also been a bit inconsistent of late. He went 12-for-19 from beyond the arc in a 136-131 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers on Dec. 14, and he followed that up with a 2-for-9 showing in the loss to the Suns on Dec. 18. Considering he'll be facing Phoenix once again, it wouldn't be surprising if their tight defense against Curry limits what he can do from the three-point line. Curry has drained at least five three-pointers in seven of his last 10 games dating back to Nov. 12, so there's value in this line as long as he finds a way to bounce back from his awful shooting performance Thursday. History suggests he might be able to do so.
