Best NBA Bets Today
Andrew Nembhard under 6.5 assists (-121) vs. Detroit Pistons
DraftKings, 4:40 PM CT
Alex Barutha: The Pistons are one of the most difficult teams for opposing point guards to face. Over the past 10 games, Detroit is forcing the second-most turnovers and third-fewest assists per 48 minutes. Over Nembhard's past eight games, he's averaging 6.8 assists, so I think we're getting a good number here.
Mikal Bridges over 16.5 points (+100) at Brooklyn Nets
BetMGM, 4:42 PM CT
Alex Barutha: Bridges is having an excellent season, and I think that will continue tonight as the Knicks remain without OG Anunoby. On the season, Bridges is averaging 16.3 points on 51.1 FG%. He does a lot of his damage on spot-up threes and in transition, which is great for going up against the Nets. Brooklyn is allowing the most spot-up points and second-most transition points per game.
Miami Heat -7.5 (-108) vs. Dallas Mavericks
DraftKings, 4:23 PM CT
Nick Whalen: With the Heat at home, I'm willing to lay the 7.5, even on the second night of a back-to-back set. Bam Adebayo is back healthy, while Tyler Herro makes his season debut tonight. Herro could be rusty, but he should still be a positive contributor as the Heat look to offset the absences of Norman Powell and Andrew Wiggins. Both had been playing well, but Miami has ample depth that I don't expect too much of a short-term falloff. These are two of the five best defensive teams in the NBA, but Miami has a significant advantage on the offensive end. The Heat are also off to a 7-1 ATS start at home this season.
Trey Murphy O29.5 PTS+REB+AST (-118) vs. Chicago Bulls
DraftKings, 4:23 PM CT
Nick Whalen: After a slow start to the season, Murphy has rounded into form of late, averaging 25 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists over his last nine games. In that same span, he's hitting 3.2 threes per game at nearly a 40 percent clip. Matchup-wise, this should be a major pace-up spot for New Orleans against a Bulls team that ranks second in pace and 21st in defensive rating.
