Hawks and Nets Battle in Big Apple
The Atlanta Hawks take on the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Thursday night.

The Hawks (26-32) are currently managing the absence of their biggest star in Trae Young (finger), but they'll come into Thursday's game having won two straight. Their most recent success came Tuesday night, when they throttled the Utah Jazz by a 124-97 score. Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double that included six assists and one steal. De'Andre Hunter supplied 20 points, five rebounds and one block. Bogdan Bogdanovic registered 19 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Dejounte Murray generated a 17-point, 11-assist double-double that included four rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Saddiq Bey furnished 16 points and seven boards.

In addition to Young, the Hawks will list Onyeka Okongwu (toe) as out for Thursday's game.

The Nets (22-36) continue to spiral as the season nears the stretch run, as they'll enter Thursday's game having lost five of the last six contests. Their most recent stumble came Tuesday, when they fell to the Orlando Magic by a 108-81 score. Dennis Schroder led the Nets with 15 points complementing them with two assists, one rebound and three steals. Trendon Watford delivered 14 points and seven boards. Nicolas Claxton contributed 10 points, five rebounds and one assist.

The Nets will be without Cam Thomas (ankle) for Thursday's contest.

Thursday's game marks the third of four games between the teams this season. The series is tied 1-1.
