Wizards and Thunder Tangle in Interconference Battle
The Washington Wizards take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Friday night.

The Wizards (9-46) didn't emerge from the All-Star break any better than they entered it, as they dropped a 130-110 decision to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night in their return to action, their ninth consecutive loss. Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards with 31 points, adding 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Tyus Jones generated a 13-point, 14-assist double-double that included two rebounds. Corey Kispert furnished 12 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals.

The Wizards are likely to list Isaiah Livers (hip) as questionable for Friday's game.

The Thunder (38-17), conversely, carried over their momentum into their first game back from the All-Star break Thursday by recording a third straight win with an impressive 129-107 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 31 points, supplementing them with eight assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Luguentz Dort furnished 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal. Jalen Williams supplied 18 points, six assists, four rebounds, three blocks and one steal. Chet Holmgren generated a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double that included three assists and three blocks. Josh Giddey registered 12 points, five boards, two assists and one block.

The Thunder comes into Friday's game without any injuries to report.
