Mavs Defeat T'Wolves in Game 1, 108-105
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the host Minnesota Timberwolves, 108-105, in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals at Target Center on Wednesday.

Dallas leads this series, 1-0.

There were seven ties and 14 lead changes in this game, with neither team grabbing a double-digit lead. Minnesota actually led 102-98 with 3:15 remaining, but Dallas closed on a 10-3 run to snatch the win. The Timberwolves committed three turnovers in that span. The Mavericks shot 49 percent from the field and 94 percent from the free-throw line, while the T'Wolves shot 43 percent from the field and 61 percent from the charity stripe. Dallas also out-rebounded Minnesota, 48-40, while out-blocking them, 8-3.

The Mavericks (1-0) were led by Luka Doncic, collecting 33 points, six rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Kyrie Irving compiled 30 points, five rebounds and four assists. PJ Washington provided 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Daniel Gafford amassed 10 points and nine rebounds, while Dereck Lively led the bench with nine points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

The Timberwolves (0-1) were led by Jaden McDaniels, finishing with 24 points, four rebounds and three assists. Anthony Edwards accrued 19 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Rudy Gobert had 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Naz Reid led the bench with 15 points, five rebounds and two assists.

These teams will play Game 2 in Minnesota on Friday.
