This contest kicks off the most important series in the CPBL thus far, with the first-place Brothers traveling to face the second-place Monkeys. The Brothers have stormed into a half-game lead atop the standings after winning seven straight games and haven't lost a game this far in June. That was enough to erase a fairly large lead which the Monkeys had held since very early in the season, as the hosts have struggled to a 1-5 record this month. While recent form suggests the Brothers should be favored in this one, the pitching matchup suggests otherwise. The visitors will turn to struggling righty Liao Yi-Chung, who recorded a solid 4.36 ERA in his 13-start debut last season but whose 7.76 ERA through six outings this year is quite poor even considering the league's offensive explosion. Meanwhile, the Monkeys will trot out Lisalverto Bonilla, whose 3.61 ERA in eight games this season places him among the best pitchers in the league.

Lisalverto Bonilla, Monkeys: The pitcher decision is quite tough in this one, and a strong argument could be made for either Bonilla or Liao Yi-Chung. The two sides' recent forms as well as the five credits you'd save by selecting Liao make for compelling arguments, but ultimately the fact that Liao's ERA is over twice as high as Bonilla's this season is the most important factor, tipping the scales Bonilla's way.

Lin Li, Monkeys: Lin is a worthy captain choice in virtually every Monkeys game. He's recorded four straight multi-hit games and has filled up the leaderboards this season, ranking first in batting average (.415), third in home runs (10), fourth in RBI (33), second in runs (38) and second in steals (10).

Chen Chen-Wei, Monkeys: Chen's 14 steals on the season mean he's the only player who leads his teammate Lin in that category. The Monkeys' leadoff man should see plenty of chances to get on base, steal and score against the struggling Liao.

Chou Szu-Chi, Brothers: The Brothers have a handful of players who have moved into more prominent roles of late but who remain quite cheap. The 38-year-old Chou is a prime example of that phenomenon, as he's settled into the third spot in the order and costs just 6.5 credits despite going 16-for-29 with three homers over his last seven games.
