Game Preview

The Monkeys look to ramp up a somewhat sluggish start to the second half of their season at the expense of the Guardians on Wednesday. However, Fubon has started off a solid 4-3 and will start a pitcher in Loree that has had success versus Rakuten this season on multiple occasions. Meanwhile, Villanueva has struggled mightily this season as his record indicates, which could mean good news for what has been a solid Guardians offense thus far in the second half of the season.

Top Picks/Captaincy Options

Lin Li, Monkeys- Lin is an automatic candidate for top pick/captain any time he plays, even though he comes in with a bit of a slump. The infielder is still slashing an outstanding .379/.433/.678 with 36 extra-base hits (13 doubles, three triples, 20 home runs), 64 RBI and 12 stolen bases. There isn't anything Li can't do as a hitter, and even though he's been quiet lately, his upside is demonstrated by the fact he recently scored between 22 and 40 Dream11 points in six games during an eight-game stretch.   

Chen Chen-Wei, Monkeys- Chen makes for an excellent sidekick to Li, as he also has offered superior production, albeit on a smaller scale. The 22-year-old carries a .307/.356/.450 line with 10 doubles, nine triples, four home runs and 31 RBI. His elite speed has also enabled him to steal 29 bases, and he's been outstanding recently with three performances of more than 30 Dream11 points in his last five games. 

Kao Kuo-Hui, Guardians- Kao has been one of the Guardians' best hitters all season, and he comes in with a .327/.368/.648 slash line that includes 27 extra-base hits (15 doubles, 12 home runs), 29 RBI and 28 runs. The slugging outfielder is always a threat to knock one out of the park, especially against a suspect pitcher like Villanueva.

Chang Chei-Wei, Guardians- Chang is a reliable contact hitter that has good speed and owns a solid .295 average and .368 on-base percentage. He can also provide the occasional stolen base, and his impressive wheels have helped lead to three doubles and one triple alongside his two home runs. He also frequently hits in a favorable position near the top of the order, which enhances his value.
