Best EuroLeague Bets for Thursday, Oct. 9
Before we get underway, let me note there is a noticeable dip in confidence between the top two picks on my list and the next two. There were a bunch of numbers I wanted to go after, but unfortunately some that I was targeting aren't even posted despite being key players. Tread lightly Thursday, particularly with the the third and fourth players below.
All odds for EuroLeague player props current as of 6:45 AM ET Thursday.
PICKS TO CLICK
Glynn Watson Over 14.5 Points+Assists (-135 bet365)
Shaquille Harrison is out of action due to injury, and Nando de Colo could miss Round 3 as well. I'm leaning toward de Colo suiting up, but even if he does, as a 38-year-old at less than 100 percent I can't fathom him assuming a heavy workload. That's going to leave a lot of usage open for Watson, who has already filled a regular role since joining ASVEL over the offseason. If de Colo does wind up sidelined as well, I think we can utilize the ladder strategy with Watson.
Yakuba Ouattara Over 11.5 Points+Rebounds (-150 bet365)
Yakuba Ouattara 10+ Points (-105 bet365)
Nadir Hifi and Justin Robinson have expectedly led Paris in usage, but Ouattara is third, and he's being very much overlooked. Hifi's props point to him being a true Alpha, but Ouattara is not only third on the club in shot rate, he has also played the most minutes due to his versatility and defense abilities. Ouattara has mainly been a complementary player in the EuroLeague, but he is getting a chance to prove himself and I want to be in early on him.
Marko Guduric Over 15.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-120 bet365)
I had a tough time determining where to go on the Milan side with Shavon Shields uncertain and Josh Nebo unavailable. I originally wanted to hammer props on Devin Booker -- who should start Thursday at the center spot -- but couldn't find any that are listed. I then came to either this Guduric prop or Zach LeDay over 19.5 points+rebounds since the latter should see more rebounding opportunities with Booker out there instead of Nebo and will be covered by Nikola Mirotic. I just don't love that number for LeDay, so I'm going with Guduric and hoping we see Shields sit out to give Guduric a usage bump.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot Over 21.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (+105 bet365)
I looked up Luwawu-Cabarrot's props hoping to see them inflated enough to hit some unders, but to my surprise I saw some value in this number. Players like him who are small forwards that can handle the ball and run some offense had success against Panathinaikos in the first two games, and with the Greek team favored only by 5.5 points and Baskonia unable to get many stops we should see a back-and-forth game with plenty of points. Early foul trouble has derailed us with Luwawu-Cabarrot before, but if he avoids that and this game goes as expected, he should stuff the stat sheet like he did against Olympiacos in Round 1.
