FanDuel Fantasy Football: Week 11 Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel Fantasy Football series.

QUARTERBACK

Robert Griffin III, BAL vs. CIN ($6,300), Lamar Jackson, BAL ($7,000): Both of these quarterbacks could be intriguing options this weekend if Joe Flacco is ruled out. As of Thursday, Flacco hadn't practiced all week, and Jackson ended up sitting out Thursday himself due to an illness. The Ravens have stated Flacco doesn't need to practice to play Sunday, but it would make sense for them to sit him if he's not close to 100 percent. While many assume Jackson would be the starter in Flacco's absence, it could be Griffin who gets the nod as the veteran presence. In that scenario, Jackson might get more plays called for him than normal with Griffin assuming the role Flacco normally has. Hopefully, some clarity to the situation will happen well before the 1 p.m. est kickoff Sunday. In any event, either of these quarterbacks has a high upside if they get the start, with both having the ability to scramble (Jackson moreso) and a great matchup against the Bengals. On the season, Cincinnati is allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks per game (24.2). Carson Wentz ($7,700) is probably the safest play when considering a quarterback for cash games.

RUNNING BACK

Ezekiel Elliott, DAL at ATL ($8,400): It seems like this is a week that spending up on running backs makes a lot of sense, and, given his matchup, Elliott has as much upside as anyone. The Falcons have given up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs on Sunday's main slate, and Elliott is coming off a 33.7 fantasy point performance. He's still the focal point of the offense, and the Falcons just gave up a monster game to Nick Chubb only a week ago. Elliott is in play for cash this week and a great GPP pivot from Alvin Kamara who should have a higher ownership.

Leonard Fournette, JAC vs. PIT ($7,600): This is likely the last time Fournette will be this cheap, so now is the time to take advantage. Jacksonville seems to hold the strategy of slowing down the game and feeding him the ball as much as possible. Last week, Fournette parlayed 29 touches (29!) into 25.4 fantasy points and that was while only averaging 2.2 yards per carry, a number that should greatly improve this week. While the Steelers have been one of the better teams in allowing the fewest points to opposing running backs, those numbers are largely due to a lack of volume, something that won't likely happen this week.

WIDE RECEIVER

Kenny Golladay, DET vs. CAR ($6,400): Golladay is coming off a nice performance (6-78-1 for 16.8 fantasy points) in what was a tough matchup facing the Bears in Chicago. This week will be easier sledding for Golladay as he returns home to face a Carolina defense that was just torched by Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers. The Panthers are in the bottom-half of the league in giving up fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, and their run defense is much better than their pass defense. This information should be available to the Lions suggesting they go with a more pass-heavy approach to win this game benefitting Golladay. The 13 targets last weeks from Matthew Stafford was encouraging as well.

T.Y. Hilton, IND vs. TEN ($6,800): Looking back at past seasons when Andrew Luck has been healthy, this seems like a really cheap price for Hilton. Luck has at least three touchdown passes in six consecutive games, and this is the first game in a while Hilton doesn't have a tough matchup (BUF, HOU and JAC the last three games). The Titans have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points of any defense facing a wide receiver, making this a great matchup for Hilton.

TIGHT END

Evan Engram, NYG vs. TB ($5,800): Engram didn't do much until the last drive for the Giants Monday night, but that should change this Sunday. The Buccaneers have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, and Engram has as much upside as any tight end given the matchup. Using him is a nice contrarian play over the obvious usage of Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham. Getting a piece of the Giants against the Bucs seems like a logical choice.

FLEX

Courtland Sutton, DEN at LAC ($5,600): Everyone really excited about Sutton after the Demaryius Thomas trade, but he finished the subsequent game with only three catches for 57 yards. Needless to say, the shine to his star has dimmed quite a bit, and, coupled with coming off the bye, he will likely be an afterthought this week. Emmanuel Sanders will command most of the attention from the Charger defense (specifically Casey Hayward) leaving Sutton with softer coverage. He's a great punt option for lineups loading up at running back.

DEFENSE

Arizona vs. Oakland, D/ST ($4,000): Do you believe in the Raiders offense at this point? At least the Cardinals defense appears like they're still trying. The Raiders will be down Martavis Bryant and possibly Jordy Nelson, so they're down to their (fourth and fifth) wide receivers when considering the Amari Cooper trade. This is a low over/under coupled with the home team being cheap. Go with the Cards.
