Fantasy Football Rankings Week 14: Weekly Value Meter

Week 14 byes: CAR, NE, NYG, SF

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are set to receive snaps.

I welcome debate

Quarterbacks

1.*Josh Allen BUF vs. CIN
Note: The rushing yards from Allen are really carrying the load right now - he threw for just 123 yards in the win over the Steelers. The Bills ran the ball a whopping 51 times.
2.Dak Prescott DAL at DET
3.Jalen Hurts PHI at LAC
4.Matthew Stafford LA at ARI
5.Baker Mayfield TB vs. NO
6.Joe Burrow CIN at BUF
7.*Sam Darnold SEA at ATL
Note: Darnold is dealing with a minor ankle injury, but should be good to go against Atlanta. Meanwhile, he has struggled ever since center Jalen Sundell hurt his knee against Arizona.
8.*Lamar Jackson BAL vs. PIT
Note: If you can't get it done against the Bengals, who can you get it done against?
9.Jared Goff DET vs. DAL
10.*Jacoby Brissett ARZ vs. LAR
Note: Brissett will get at least another start this week against the Rams, as Kyler Murray (foot) won't be designated to return from IR this week, which also means that Murray won't practice.
11.Patrick Mahomes KC vs. HOU
12.Bo Nix DEN at LV
13.Jordan Love GB vs. CHI
14.Trevor Lawrence JAC vs. IND
15.*Justin Herbert LAC vs. PHI
Note: Herbert suffered a fractured metacarpal in his left hand early against the Raiders. He underwent surgery Monday after playing through the injury for most of the game on Sunday. Herbert intends to be available for Monday night against the Eagles. They start practice on Thursday.
16.*Daniel Jones IND at JAX
Note: Jones had just one rush in the loss to the Texans, and ceded a fourth-down sneak to tight end Tyler Warren.
17.Caleb Williams CHI at GB
18.C.J. Stroud HOU at KC
19.*Marcus Mariota WAS at MIN
Note: Mariota played reasonably well in a tough matchup against the Broncos, though he had some fortune in avoiding disaster on a couple of plays. Jayden Daniels (elbow) had a set of limited practices last week.
20.Tyler Shough NO at TB
21.*Tua Tagovailoa MIA at NYJ
Note: Low-volume inefficient games make for fantasy disasters.
22.*Aaron Rodgers PIT at BAL
Note: Rodgers was bloodied by the Bills on a fumble-sack by Joey Bosa, and later returned. The Steelers never got untracked against the Bills.
23.Geno Smith LV vs. DEN
24.Tyrod Taylor NYJ vs. MIA
25.Cam Ward TEN at CLE
26.Kirk Cousins ATL vs. SEA
27.*Max Brosmer MIN vs. WAS
Note: The universe likes to remind us, no matter the endeavor, that when things are bad, it can always get worse.
28.*Shedeur Sanders CLE vs. TEN
Note: Sanders appeared to tweak his ankle in the loss to the 49ers. He sat out one play, but later returned.
29.*Trey Lance LAC vs. PHI
Note: Lance saw brief action when Justin Herbert was getting his broken finger examined.
30.Mason Rudolph PIT at BAL
31.*J.J. McCarthy MIN vs. WAS
Note: McCarthy hasn't yet cleared the concussion protocol but is advancing towards doing so, and no longer suffers from symptoms.

34.Brock Purdy SF at
35.Bryce Young CAR at

3.Bijan Robinson ATL vs. SEA
4.Jahmyr Gibbs DET vs. DAL
5.Chase Brown CIN at BUF
6.Jonathan Taylor IND at JAX
7.*Derrick Henry BAL vs. PIT
Note: It was outrageous for Henry to get only 10 carries against the Bengals' paltry run defense. Surely after watching the Bills-Steelers tape, the Ravens won't repeat that mistake with Henry this week, right?
8.Josh Jacobs GB vs. CHI
9.Saquon Barkley PHI at LAC
10.*Bucky Irving TB vs. NO
Note: Irving got his first touch on the second drive of the day for the Bucs, but dominated the RB workload, with 17 carries and two catches.
11.Jaylen Warren PIT at BAL
12.Travis Etienne JAC vs. IND
13.Breece Hall NYJ vs. MIA
14.Javonte Williams DAL at DET
15.Kenneth Walker SEA at ATL
16.D'Andre Swift CHI at GB
17.*Kimani Vidal LAC vs. PHI
Note: You can be sure that the Chargers will look at the Black Friday game tape to see if they can replicate the rushing success that the Bears had against the Eagles, especially in light of Justin Herbert's finger injury on his non-throwing hand. We'll see yet if Vidal will be the lead back again, or if Omarion Hampton will return from his ankle injury.
18.Quinshon Judkins CLE vs. TEN
19.Kyle Monangai CHI at GB
20.RJ Harvey DEN at LV
21.*Kyren Williams LA at ARI
Note: Williams briefly exited with an ankle injury but later returned. Coach Sean McVay said that Williams' ankle was feeling pretty good on Monday.

Note: Marks briefly left with an ankle injury in the first quarter, but returned in the second quarter and had 19 carries compared to only nine for Nick Chubb.
23.Ashton Jeanty LV vs. DEN

Note: Rodriguez once again started for the Commanders and led them in touches and snaps, though it was Jeremy McNichols out there for the endgame.
25.Zach Charbonnet SEA at ATL
26.*Jordan Mason MIN vs. WAS
Note: Mason could be in line for a bigger workload, in a plus-matchup no less against Washington, should Aaron Jones (shoulder) be forced to miss a game.
27.Kareem Hunt KC vs. HOU
28.Bam Knight ARZ vs. LAR
29.Devin Neal NO at TB
30.Kenneth Gainwell PIT at BAL

35.Blake Corum LA at ARI

47.Tyjae Spears TEN at CLE
48.Nick Chubb HOU at KC
49.Jaret Patterson LAC vs. PHI
50.*Sean Tucker TB vs. NO
Note: Tucker was relegated to the clear third back for the Bucs against Arizona after Bucky Irving returned. I was wrong about that - I thought he had moved past Rachaad White in the pecking order, but that wasn't the case.

52.Raheem Mostert LV vs. DEN
53.Chris Brooks GB vs. CHI
54.Ty Johnson BUF vs. CIN
