NFL Picks and Props for Week 5
The 2025 National Football League rolls into Week 5. Today's slate begins at 9:30 a.m. ET in London, and will wrap up at around a 11:30 p.m. ET in Buffalo. There is a lot of action in between. We'll pluck a few betting props from those games, and what you really need to do is hope for no injuries. Those are our biggest enemies, in terms of player props. Yes, sometimes bets will be voided, if the injury happens early enough. But, that's not always the case.
We split down the middle at 2-2 in Week 4, still working on a 5-3 winning mark in the past two weekends. Let's stay in the black as we head deep into October when the leaves will change. Let's get started!

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts Prop Plays
*Best lines at time of writing listed
First off, best wishes to former NFL QB and FOX broadcaster Mark Sanchez, who was stabbed in Indianapolis Saturday morning prior to calling the game. Hopefully he makes a quick and full recovery.
As far as the game, the Raiders are expected to be behind early, and that likely means a pass-heavy offense. That's great news for the fantasy prospects and yardage totals of QB Geno Smith.
Smith has had a roller coaster ride this season, as he has two games with 289 or more passing yards, but also two games with 180 or fewer yards. His best games were on the road, and that's likely to continue on Sunday.
Sticking in that same game, the Raiders are actually tops in the NFL with seven interceptions through the first four games. While Vegas has a rather mediocre 63.8 completion percentage allowed, it's an opportunistic defense.
Colts QB Daniel Joneswas picked off twice in a Week 4 loss against the Los Angeles Rams after going without a miscue in his first three games. You can expect the Raiders to coax him into at least one mistake in Week 5.
Best Prop Pick: Raiders QB Geno Smith 230+ Passing Yards (-132 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
Best Prop Pick: Colts QB Daniel Jones - Interception YES (+130 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Washington Commanders vs. Los Angeles Chargers Prop Plays
The Washington Commanders rushing defense has been rather stout this season, allowing just 430 yards through four games. It is one of just two defenses yet to allow 20 or more yards on a single tote. The other team is the Los Angeles Rams, who have now gone five games without a 20+ rush allowed after an OT loss Thursday.
The Commanders yield just 3.6 yards per carry (YPC), and the longest run they've allowed is 19 yards.
That being said, it's time for all good things to come to an end. Chargers rookie RB Omarion Hampton is running well, and he has virtually no competition. He'll get the football early and often. Let's go with Hampton to get at least 70 rushing yards on Sunday, and we'll take a longest rush prop with him, too, for our first double dip of the season.
Best Prop Pick: Chargers RB Omarion Hampton 70+ Rushing Yards (-122 at DraftKings)
Best Prop Pick: Chargers RB Omarion Hampton Longest Rush - Over 14.5 Yards (-120 BetMGM)
New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills Prop Plays
We have to wait until the Sunday Night Football game for the final prop of the day, as we make five plays this week.
Bills RB James Cook has been a scoring machine, and there is no reason to believe this does not continue against the division rival Patriots.
Cook has scored at least one rushing touchdown in all four games this season, while totaling 5 touchdowns in the span. He is averaging 5.3 yards per carry, too, including at least 5.3 yards per carry in each of his past three outings after a mediocre showing in Week 1.
In primetime games, he has two rushing touchdowns in two games this season, too, so he isn't intimated when playing under the lights. Cook secured that bag in the preseason after a bit of a "hold-in" and contract dispute. The Bills look smart for backing up the Brinks truck, as he's not letting up despite carrying around the heavier wallet.
