2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kincaid seemed poised for a big sophomore season after posting 555 yards over the last 11 games of his 2023 rookie campaign, but he instead regressed to 448 yards in 13 regular-season games while scoring just two TDs for a second straight year. Knee injuries slowed him down for part of 2024, but the bigger problems were lackluster blocking (which impacted his playing time) and a 58.7 percent catch rate (worst among qualified pass catchers with an aDOT below 8.0). Kincaid’s 10 red-zone targets were double the total of teammate Dawson Knox, but 15 other tight ends had more, as the Bills scored 32 of their 62 offensive touchdowns on the ground and didn’t have a player exceed five receiving TDs. The only real positive for Kincaid last year was a 29.0 percent target rate, good for second among TEs and up from 22.5 percent his rookie season. He didn't give the Bills much reason to continue feeding him, but it's nonetheless too early to completely write off a recent first-round pick who caught 73 passes as a rookie. Read Past Outlooks
Ruled out for TNF
Bills coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Kincaid (hamstring) is ruled out for Thursday's road contest against the Texans, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McDermott's announcement doesn't come as much of a surprise, as Kincaid was labeled week-to-week after injuring his hamstring Week 10 versus the Dolphins and hasn't practiced in any capacity since. His next chance to return to action will come Sunday, Nov. 30 on the road against Pittsburgh in Week 13, while Dawson Knox will start at tight end for Buffalo on Thursday, with Jackson Hawes operating in the No. 2 role.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Kincaid took a while to gain Josh Allen’s trust, but the 2023 first-round pick out of Utah got going from Week 7 onward, catching 56 passes for 555 yards and two touchdowns on 72 targets over the final 11 games. It helped that fellow Bills tight end Dawson Knox missed five of those games due to a wrist injury, but Kincaid’s two best yardage totals (87 and 84) came in Weeks 17 and 18 after Knox had returned. The biggest knock on Kincaid’s otherwise promising rookie season was that he caught only two of Allen’s 29 touchdown passes, though he added a third in the playoffs (along with 104 yards on 11 targets in two games). After scoring eight touchdowns in each of his last two seasons at Utah, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound rookie tied for 17th among TEs with nine red-zone targets last year, somehow seeing only one more than Knox. It’s hard to imagine Kincaid’s red-zone usage staying that low in the future, but with the 6-foot-4, 254-pound Knox still around, Kincaid may continue to cede more prime score opportunities than other similarly skilled tight ends.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potential breakout candidate
Kincaid could see his role expand in the Buffalo offense in 2025, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid had a disappointing 2024 season, seeing his production dip across the board. That was in part due to a knee injury that sidelined him for three games and limited his snaps down the stretch. Kincaid enters training camp healthy and with added strength, and the Bills may have contractual reasons to give Kincaid additional opportunities in 2025. The team will have to decide whether to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract next offseason, and it could also part ways with Dawson Knox given the way his contract is structured, giving the Bills incentive to see if Kincaid can take over as the primary tight end.
