Cameron Latu

24-Year-Old Tight EndTE
2024 Fantasy Outlook
A 2023 third-round pick, Latu missed the entirety of his rookie campaign with a torn meniscus in his knee. The Alabama product still hasn't been cleared for the start of the 2024 season, but his recovery timeline puts him on track to compete for a backup spot behind George Kittle with free-agent pickup Logan Thomas in training camp. Latu doesn't figure to make a fantasy impact in his second season, barring an injury to the aforementioned Kittle. Read Past Outlooks

The Eagles signed Latu to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Latu spent most of the 2024 regular season on the Browns' practice squad after being waived by the 49ers at the end of training camp in late August. Latu will have an opportunity to work with Eagles' training staff in the spring during OTAs and minicamp, and will aim to earn a spot on the 53-man roster for the 2025 campaign. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game since being selected by San Francisco in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 101st overall.

How often does Cameron Latu run a route when on the field for a pass play?
This data will let you see how Cameron Latu and the other tight ends for the Eagles are being used. Some tight ends may have a lot of snaps, but they're not that useful for fantasy purposes because they're not actually running routes. This data will help you see when this is the case.

July 31, 2023
Perhaps the only question mark in a 49ers offense led by RB Christian McCaffrey, WRs Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk and TE George Kittle is quarterback. Brock Purdy will attempt to repeat his success from 2022.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
The 49ers selected Latu in the third round of the 2023 Draft, finally giving the team a receiving threat behind top tight end George Kittle. Due to the latter's star presence, the rookie is unlikely to see much action as a rookie. That said, Latu has a clear path to win the backup job behind Kittle out of camp, which would get the youngster some looks in two-TE formations while providing insurance for the oft-injured starter. The Alabama product showed strong hands in college - a 56-787-12 receiving line over the last two years - which should make him fantasy relevant if he cracks the game-day lineup.
